[history]
Al Gore says he was terrorized by "busloads of people" organized by the Republican Party, protesting outside the vice presidential residence during the 2000 Florida presidential recount.
In an interview with Barbara Walters on ABC, Mr. Gore talked about the "the organized chanting round-the-clock," and said: "Well, this was the Republican response to what was happening during that 36-day period, and they organized busloads of people that came and stood outside the house all day and all night screaming at the top of their lungs."

"Dammit, Beavis, stop showing this crap!"

And we were not "bused in"--I drove down from NJ with my wife at my expense to protest at "his house"!!

Now of course, if he can deal with his rental property tenants down in Tennessee - you remember the ones with the stopped up toilets and such - he should be able to get over this...well...maybe some day.Hmmm...I'm not sure he can get to the thousands of pets he would need to kill to do that...

****The sad thing is that millions of people will watch them on ABC and believe the whole thing about the GOP busing people there to scream at him all day and all night ***** That part was apparently cut out of the broadcast.

Also, Gore RECENTLY said that he got on the phone and called off any attempt of the Dems to counter-rally. I remember reading way back that Gore stated that he tried to reach the head of the union who could not be located, and that he thought the union had deserted him in the hour of his need. Am I correct?
Gore was on crack at the time. He doesn't know what he did, since he didn't know what he was doing. The historical record is all here:
An Evening in December, 2000, A Bar Somewhere Near 34th & Massachusetts Avenue, Washington, D.C.
From the latest imaginations, sounds like the daughter was smokin' it, too.

JVB, great to hear from you!
You know what, f- Gore for this. He's whining that he felt oppressed.
Al, you overprivileged scum. Take your delusion elsewhere, because there are more than a few Freepers who were treated to a Clinton-Government inspection for having expressed themselves in public.

cyn, you really did miss the bus. I went one time and the GOP is still sending me checks. (Grinning and wishing.)
Of all the times that I did get to DC, I regret that I didn't make it to Cheney's house. At least we did our part here in the 'burgh.

I don't know how Al thinks it promotes his image as someone who hopes to be a wartime president when he goes on constantly about what cowards he and his whole family are. After being attacked, America really needs someone who wants to hide under the bed and make it go away.
