First attempt at posting...hopefully this goes well. I fully expect to get flamed for doing something incorrectly. Enjoy.

You did great. Unfortunate choice in posts, though, but that's your right as a FReeper.
More drivel from the tin-foil hat brigade.

Any comment on the article itself, or are you only doing vanity posts today?

Those center tanks don't just implode. It was not a mechanical failure of the airframe.

Thanks for the post. Even before 911, there was a lot of speculation about the cause of the crash of Flight 800. I would think that the events that have followed, including the attempted shoe bomb, would have everyone looking at possible causes (missile attack, on-board bomb, etc) without the tinfoil hat. These speculations no longer seem far-fetched or impossible.

I know this has been kicked around before, but I've not heard the Iraqi connection explained as in this article. What would this do to BJ's legacy, if proved true?
To: canalabamian
The administration, she notes, suffered from the inability to tell the truth about Iraq even to itself. So now even the clintonistas are turning...... makes you smile, doesn't it?

For the Clinton White House, there was no political upside to terrorism unless it could be blamed on the American right wing.Awesome first post, thanks. You're somebody now, post #2 attests to that.

Clinton adviser Dick Morris polled continuously, even on tragic events like Khobar Towers and TWA Flight 800, to see how the president should respond. The conclusion was that "talking tough" would suffice. My disgust for the draft dodging SinkEmperor rises with each passing day. Soon, it may well reach the lofty peak yours has attained . . .

Posted because I thought it was interesting...lurking for some months now and finally decided to get involved. I'm a slow typer and couldn't get my comments in until #7. Thanks for the welcome. I'll go back to my mirror now!

It's true that before 9/11, suicide bombing of planes was not anticipated. Hovever, I remember that the investigation originally assumed terrorism and only later concluded otherwise.

Thank you for this post-it scored a 10! More! More!
And methinks the article can be summed up in this one quote from it:
For the Clinton White House, there was no political upside to terrorism unless it could be blamed on the American right wing.
Oh yeah....no political benefit. It fits. Thank you bill and hill and your moronic team of duds for caring about the security of our nation (NOT!). Thank you for avoiding doing the hard things and opting for nicey-poo, nobel prize hopes of peace at any price.
But what can one expect from the duo who hired a bar bouncer, someone who would do anthing for this nasty duo, as the HEAD of our White House security.
Did the clinton's EVER hire anyone of stature, experience, honor or dignity? I would easily conclude that they ruled as they hired-with a great lack of vision and an unparalleled need to control, even if it meant lying. Over and over and over again.

I don't see anything new here, but Farah seems to think they have switched from OKC to TWA 800 for their backup plan. Makes more sense, since this was entirely Toon's fault. Sooner or later, they will bring out the stinger that was left on the roadside as a warning to Clinton.
They do have one problem, though. James Kallstrom (sp?) was on "After Hours" last night on CNBC and again set forth the claim that, though he was sure it was terrorism at the time--they were already on high alert--it was "proven" not to be...

A fourth point of interest is the behavior of President Bill Clinton. Although she served as an adviser to Clinton during his 1992 campaign, Mylroie finds his reaction to Iraqi-backed terrorism "inexplicable." In fact, throughout the book, Mylroie quietly condemns the seeming "policy disarray" that leads time and again to inaction. The administration, she notes, suffered from the inability to tell the truth about Iraq even to itself. Doesn't surprise me a bit.
It seems to me, we ought to paint SHRILLERY with such facts every time she shows her face in public . . . on every corner . . . in every media piece . . . everywhere and every time we can.

My comment in #3 was not directed at you. It is a good article to post. Keep posting; ignore the idiots on here.
To: grania
The same people who screamed tin foil hat at people for claiming Iraqi involvement in OKC are now screaming to bomb Iraq over it. Not any new evidence, just different spin, it now suits our needs.

The original investigation assumed terrorism? Which agency? I doubt it was the FAA since it was run by a Clinton appointee. It seemed it was directed towards a mechanical or pilot failure as a reason from the start. But I could have missed something on it, too!!

It's the old mashed potato eaters syndrome all over again.

Your right, everyone know that passenger liners climb 3000 feet after exploding into two pieces :)
