Yeah, I've been thinking I need to spend some $$ on glass before I buy any more firearms. Binocs and a better range-finding scope (just have a cheapie now).

>>The media seems to have forgotten there's still a war on.

I've got a "War on Radical Islam" email mailing list. I started it 9/12. Currently about 25-30 members, and I send links to items like this, the Diogenesis posts, and text articles of interest as well.

Bypass the lamestream media! YOU are the media. Get to work, soldier, there's a lot that can be done winning hearts and minds on the home front.

Great photos, SAM. The last one in #2 is really strange -- the people standing in the background look like they're spectators at a shooting match.

All of them are M-240B machine guns. They fire the same 7.62mm round that the M-60 fired, but its barrel is much easier to change out and it has higher rates of fire (although the old heads at my unit tell me the sound the -240 is not as intimidating as the -60 was).

I'm proud of our troops and the work they're doing in the war on terror. It's a shame there are people who don't have access to coverage other than TV and such...they don't get to see what we do on FR and threads such as yours. Thanks, master scrounger, for all the pics today.
