Official DNC Webpage:GOP Leadership Puts Anti-Choice Measures at the Top of Agenda

Republicans are planning to endanger women's lives and attack their right to choose as soon as they take control of the Senate, according to Mississippi Senator Trent Lott, who will be the new Majority Leader. Speaking on a right-wing radio show, Lott announced that criminalizing certain life-saving medical procedures used in abortions was his top legislative priority, saying, "I will call it up, we will pass it, and the president will sign it. I'm making that commitment -- you can write it down."

The criminalization of so-called "partial-birth abortions" is just the tip of the iceberg for the Republicans, as right-wing, anti-choice activists plan to push a full agenda of legislation designed to restrict a woman's right to choose.

In addition to the ban on this medical procedure, the GOP's anti-choice legislative agenda includes a review of the FDA's approval of RU-486, "fetus protection" legislation that restricts the rights of pregnant women, enacting restrictions making it more difficult for minors to have access to pregnancy services, removing a bankruptcy provision that would prohibit convicted violent anti-choice offenders from protecting their assets, and granting special rights for hospitals that refuse to perform abortions.

Hoping to chip away at a woman's right to choose slowly in order to eventually pass a Constitutional amendment banning abortion, and eager to grant lifetime appointments to as many anti-choice judges as possible, Republicans and anti-choice activists have been pushing these restrictions for years. With control of the White House, the House of Representatives, and soon, the Senate, Republicans hope to pass this agenda dictated by right-wing activists. [Washington Post; 11/12/02]

>>Yes, and they have the 'right to choose' to not spread their legs and engage in sexual intercourse, prior to murder<<

Is it the sex that bothers you, or the killing?

I think there are converts to be won on the "we support your right to choose not to be pregnant, as long as it doesn't require murder" front.

I don't think there are many converts on the "you have no right to have sex" front.

Attention DNC pro-murder-choice losers...
The only thing you need to worry about is...

Making me an accomplice by sending me the bill.

Knock yourself out with your infanticide games.
Perhaps it's time to revive your "baby killers" sobriquet.

If a person did the very same vile, inhuman butchery on a cat, or puppy, most of the insane leftists in the democrat DEATH party would be up in arms! But if its a human sacrifice to their death god of convenience, its ok!

Let us not forget Planned Parenthood which receives millions of federal tax dollars each year, kills millions of unborn babies, and maintains a website called ROE v. BUSH. The Democrats would have instantly defunded any orgainzation that openly attacked Clinton, yet the GOP funds a group that has an anti-Bush website?

It is time to kick the Culture of Death off of Welfare.

Precisely. The Democrats will work themselves up into a lather about fur farms, but when it comes to actual human beings, they are so nonchalant, unless you threaten their right to abort them.

And then they turn around and say they are "for the children". The hypocrisy, degredation and evil of their position makes me simultaneously nauseous and angry.

bump - let's keep the socialist Dems from stealing good words like "choice" or we won't have anything left (maybe "Nothing Left" should be our cry)

You misunderstood my post completely. I have no problem with the sex. I do though have a problem with LACK OF RESPONSIBILITY of the CHOICE of not getting pregnant.

It is common sense that abstinence (if 'one' does not want to get pregnant) is 100%.

I do NOT agree with National Organization for Women's cure all answer is carte blanche= birth control enforcement. As all studies prevail to the dangers of all of the birth control devices. (Read the pamphlet as thick as a small novel on all of the risks of THE PILL) The LEFT don't want to discuss the huge increase in death i e.... Breast Cancer, heart problems etc.... linked to birth control pills, shots and implants.

The one thing the politically LEFT lack is responsibility muchless promoting it. I DO NOT agree with the "IF IT FEELS GOOD, DO IT" irresponsible fad, no matter how long it has been around in different forms of our culture.

I agree, they are morally bankrupt nazis, masquerading as angels of light. They shovel children into abortion mills for blood money. I remember America before Roe v Wade and I hope I can see that country again before I die.

I think you are missing the point, in that one of the potential consequences of having sex is pregnancy, however, with the advent of "abortion rights" this removes taking any responsibility for ones actions.

Well as a women, I don't much like the DNC going behind my back and telling my under age daughter that popping a pill is ok, all will be fine.

There are other options besides popping a pill if my daughter is unable to raise the baby herself ... Adoption rings a bell

So what do I have to say to the GOP ... Thank You for trying to give me my rights back as a women and as a mother
