Who said they were Wrong?! We got our butts whupped on 9/11/01 'cuz we were too nonchalant vis a vis our National Security. The Patriot Act allegedly improves our chances fer discovering ne'er-do-wells and keepin' from hurtin' more folks; however, as the War on Terrorism is inevitably won, I believe we will see major legislation rolling back the PATRIOT Act as well as other Federal impositions upon our rights as citizens, and that will be long overdue.

Mud, my FRiend, all that had to be done was add two words to existing law, to wit; Domestic Terrorism. As I've said before, NO law has ever prevented any crime! Laws are meant for punishment, not prevention and America bought into the lie that the p.a.t.r.i.o.t. act is preventitive. As for catching the perps, I, for one, do not wish to trade my freedom and liberty, nor, the freedom and liberty of 200,000,000+ of my fellow law abiding Americans just to catch, what, 6,000 criminals?

What was and is needed is to get rid of the incompetants in the fbi along with the clinton operatives whom Bush has chosen not to replace. Enforcement of existing laws is the answer not new laws as every new law takes away another freedom and only gives more power to the police which, in the final analysis, will turn into a police state.

1. US would not propose and sign into law, laws that restrict liberty and freedom in violation of our sworn oath to uphold the Constitution, unless, of course, there was a real and declared "war" rather than a "resolution of war"
which is nothing more than a "sense" of congress and which is vague in its definitions whereas a formal declaration by congress would be specific and would be constitutional.

2. US would let the Justice dept loose to pursue the crimes of the clintons;

3. US would have removed all the clinton operatives from positions of power long ago;

4. US would not pursue a policy of giving citizennship to 3,000,000 illegals, thus, rewarding them because they
avoided getting caught even tho they broke the law;

5. US would not embrace the dem's social policies and spend $782,000,000,000 on NEW spending;

6. US would not institute a data base on every American even to the point of what they buy and where they buy it;

7. US would not employ the likes of Poindexter and Kissinger;

8. US would not have signd NAFTA or GATT thus jeoprodizing the jobs of Americans;

9. US would not be part of governmental land grabs;

10. US would put people and jobs before an insect;

11. US would not have put 44,000+ new employees on the government payroll which is on our financial backs.

US would not wine and dine at the White House a group who refuses to condemn the murder of civilians while condemning
a perceived racist statement ( in reality, it was closer to a segregationst's statement), which seems to say that saying something racist is worse than the murdering people.

Mud, when you say, THEM are US, you are really saying that duplicity and lies are acceptable when it is done by our guys and girls, but, it's bad when it is done by the other guy's guys and girls. When you accept that premise, you then begin to defend the indefensible, thus making yourself no better than the clinton apologists;

I submit to you, that, with a few exceptions, both political parties are corrupt. Part of that corruption is the seniority system which places too much power in the hands of a few people with the ability to get re-elected time and time again.


Is OUR Agenda the same as the administration's Agenda? Not from what I've seen so far. I see a grab for governmental power that will, in the final analysis, create a police state in the name of security. I also submit to you that it is a hope we have that the admin's Agenda is the same as ours, but, outside of a few "crumbs" thrown our way, it is a false hope. Now that THEM have the power, we will see what their true agenda is, now, won't we? If I'm wrong, I'll apologize.

Mud, I'd love to finally get something done. Pick the songs you want to do and let me know. I taught at a music summer camp for kids this year and the phone hasn't stopped ringing since. I'm on the seven day a week plan currently, you know, the sun is shining and I'm making hay. But, I have access to digital recording (my bass player has a pro tools rig), so I can add tracks to anything you do. We can try and set something up in your neck of the woods, but the planning should start now. The band is slow so a weekend might be doable. I'd like to get this to happen. Finishing something before the election would be cool.

BTW. Kerry is the worst presidential candidate since Dukakis. The MSM is losing it, the Dims are freaking and I'm chucklin'.
