Pardon my ego, but it's easy to be an amateur Limbaugh when you're only preaching to an audience of two or three. 20 million requires just a wee bit more. Hearing both the host and the callers, I felt relieved to know that I was not a philosophical accident, not a lone conservative in a neo-socialist's world and not the only one vilified for having the temerity to defy liberalism."
I tell ya, I couldda written this...the dude's 100% on target!! My brother bought me "The Way Things Ought to Be" for Christmas the year we were preparing for Desert Storm, but I had never listened to Rush until we were actually in Kuwait and Iraq, at which time I listened just to find out the news on Desert Storm. Didn't take me long to get hooked, and fer the last 11+ years, I started taping as many of his shows as possible and listening to them as I did yard work or drove around Virginia or whenever I could make the time. On average, I've probably listened to Limbaugh's words20-25 hours per week fer that entire period...LOL!!
Rush almost lost me when I thought he was going soft on Clinton during the push to RE-Impeach the EX-Rapist-in-Chief, but I continued to listen only to discover Rush was biding his time and helping to muster the necessary forces. It'd take a lot of unforeseen KRAP by the Lovable Fuzzball for me to ever doubt him again!!
