If the court enters a judgment based on this jury's award, it will be reversed on appeal-- my prediction.

Man.... we are going down in flames if we don't roll back this tide.

So why wasn't the can manufacturer fined for selling a can that didn't have a child-proof lock on it?

It's a good thing the kid didn't kill her with a screw driver or a hammer.

So, then if the teen had used a hammer to kill the teacher; "Stanley" should be liable as well.

The jury didn't find any liability for Nathanial Brazill, who pulled the trigger. Another stupid vote by Floridians.

What kind of people live in Palm Beach? Seems like we hear about a lot of problems from that part of the country.

Did the jury give the verdict using a Votomatic by chance? If so, the gun maker should demand a hand recount.

The jury didn't find any liability for Nathanial Brazill, who pulled the trigger. Brazill stole the unloaded gun and bullets from a cookie tin stashed away in a dresser drawer of family friend Elmore McCray. The ultimate in stupidity. No, it's not the kid's fault. He only stole an unloaded gun, stole bullets, and shot someone. Nope, no liability there. It's the gun manufacture's fault. Uh, huh, right.

Unconstitutional and will be rejected on appeal and if not the company should ignore the court and tell them to shove it.

Standard liberal BS - blame everyone but the perp!
I sure hope those who are saying this will be overturned on appeal are correct; this is obscene as it stands!

I'll get flamed for saying this, but the article omits the fact that the jury consisted of only women. How wrong is this?

Did a search, didn't see it. A previous post of the same article was "pulled".
My guess is that too many FReepers came up with comments that accurately described the mental capabilities of that particular set of jurors...

Hey you guys, why are you surprised? Look where it comes from - Palm Beach County, FL. What else would you expect from those idiots?
I suspect that the odds on being overturned are about 110%.

"The jury didn't find any liability for Nathanial Brazill."My guess is no Financial responsibility in the settlement, but I even agree with that.
