(11-14) 08:42 PST WASHINGTON (AP) --
Secretary of State Colin Powell, responding to anti-Muslim remarks by conservative Christian leaders, said Thursday, "This kind of hatred must be rejected."
Powell, speaking to a gathering of businessmen at the State Department, echoed remarks on Wednesday by President Bush, who took issue with comments by Christian Coalition leader Pat Robertson and the Rev. Jerry Falwell.
Powell said, "We will reject the kinds of comments you have seen recently where people in this country say that Muslims are responsible for the killing of all Jews."
He added that this kind of language "must be spoken out against. We cannot allow this image to go forth of America, because it is an inaccurate image of America.
In a similar vein Bush said on Wednesday that some recent comments about Islam "do not reflect the sentiments of my government or the sentiments of most Americans."
Robertson, on his Christian Broadcasting Network, said Jews in the United States should "wake up, open their eyes and read what is being said about them."
"This is worse than the Nazis," Robertson said Monday. "Adolf Hitler was bad, but what the Muslims want to do to the Jews is worse."
Falwell, in a recent interview with CBS' "60 Minutes," said he had concluded from reading Muslim and non-Muslim writers that the Prophet Muhammad "was a violent man, a man of war." "I think Muhammad was a terrorist," the conservative Baptist minister said.

In the beginning right after the WTC I would have agreed with you, but now I see things in a different light. The Muslims foreign & domestic spew their hatred to often for me not to believe that they are the mainstream of Muslims philosophy. Where is the outrage of American Muslims at? Why aren't they protesting what the Terroists have done? I have to believe that this is what the Koran teaches, I have read some excerpts here & there & they are not preaching love for we Christians & Jews. If we are the enemy then it is they who have made us the enemy, if they want a Crusade I say give it to them.

O.K. i'll give you this I have seen 1 or 2 Muslims say that it was wrong for the Terrorists to do this, followed by a statement that we deserved it because of our backing of Israel. You say you've seen or read something, what & where is it?

Where is the outrage of American Muslims at? Unfortunately one of the many weaknesses of Islam is this: Once a person says he is Muslim and says the magic words, no Muslim can dispute his muslimhood. This means that believing Muslims cannot speak out against the terrorists without compromising their own religion. Not in public, anyway. They need a means to excommunicate these non-Muslim, non-believing, terrorist anarchists.

That sound's like a fatal flaw for Muslims then, sounds to me like they are causing some of their own grief if i'm understanding what you're saying.
To: HELLRAISER II
Yes, I think it's a fatal flaw. It could be rectified, but not easily, might take a couple generations and a lot of enlightenment.

"Islam is a cult from satan!"
What we need to do is to have the "religious" label legally retracted from this death cult. Then we'd be free to condemn them and their mosques at will.

On November 6th, 2002, some Arab television channels
aired the first segment of a 41-part serial called "A
Knight Without a Horse," which is based on 'The Protocols
of the Elders of Zion.'
The series was slated for broadcast on Egyptian state
television, the Egyptian "Dream" channel, Iraqi state
television and Hizbullah's Al-Manar channel.

When did criticism become "Hate Speech"?
"I hate Muslims" would be hate speech.
"Muslims are killing Christians and Jews all over the world in a holy war and we should wake up to the fact" is a statement of fact, not hate speech.

It is not Islam, most of whom are aghast at the acts of the terrorists, but a few godless anarchists forming groups of terrorist cells under the guise of Islam. The terrorists are not Islamic. They claim to be Islamic, which means that true Muslims cannot say anything about the muslimness of terrorists, but these non-Muslims operating in disguise can say anything they want. Aljazeera and Alqaida are not Islamic, in spite of what they say. How about the folks who are planning to stone that woman to death in Nigeria? Are they Islamic?
