Excellent, Excellent Post!

The Screamapillar episode was one of the best. EPA was thoroughly skewered.

Homer is hardly an engineer. </> Oh, I don't know. I'm an engineer and I think Homer would do better than a number of the engineers I work with.

The Simpsons scores because its social commentary bites like a sarcastic cobra. My vote for metaphor of the week.

Ping! I LMAO remembering some of the episodes talked about in this article.

I've never seen the show. It simply struck me as unusual that only a cartoon can exist in conservative form prime time.

The celebrity ones are pretty lame though, like this weeks rock star camp.

My favorite, is when the Simpsons are watching television, and Lisa comments, "There sure seem to be a lot of animated shows on".
And Homer follows, "That's because the actors in cartoon shows don't get paid squat".

While this is a great show, South Park is really a biting social commentary, written by two very funny conservatives.
And it is so quickly put together that it can deal with news issues within just a few weeks. As opposed to the months it takes for a traditional cartoon to be produced.

The best anti-Clinton (from memory)
Clinton: In the America I built, the rule is if you don't get what you want, then you just keep complaining till you achieve your dream.
Marge: That's a pretty lousy rule.
Clinton: Yes, but I'm a pretty lousy president.

I liked the episode of South Park when Butters, turned Captain Chaos, was trying to think up diabolical schemes. His sidekick, General Disarray, stole his thunder: "Simpsons did it! Simpsons did it!"
