These supposed "experts" blew one of their own questions. Question 3 has no correct answer. The Soviet Union was NOT a US "ally" when we "entered WW II." Apparently the writers failed to notice the Malenkov-Rippentroff (sp.) Non-Aggression Pact between Nazi Germany and Communist USSR.

The Soviet Union was on the sidelines in that war, until Hitler broke the Pact and attacked the USSR. Helloooo! Somebody wasn't doing their homework.

Check you timeline, congressman. Hitler invaded the Soviet Union in June of 1941 and Hitler declared war on us in December of 1941. We were allies of a sort right from the very beginning. Sort of an 'enemy of my enemy is my friend' kind of thing. The answer is correct.

Ah, Congressman, not quite true. That treaty was forfeited by the German attack against the USSR on 22 June, 1941. Operation Barbarossa was the largest land attack in human history, and by the time we entered the war against Germany (on 11 December, 1941, when Hitler declared war on the US in support of Japan) half of the Eastern portion of the USSR was under Nazi control. We started Lend-Lease to the Russians in the Summer of 1941.
