Ah, Congressman, not quite true. That treaty was forfeited by the German attack against the USSR on 22 June, 1941. Operation Barbarossa was the largest land attack in human history, and by the time we entered the war against Germany (on 11 December, 1941, when Hitler declared war on the US in support of Japan) half of the Eastern portion of the USSR was under Nazi control. We started Lend-Lease to the Russians in the Summer of 1941.

Thank you for your correction. Writing from memory, I was sure that Operation Barbarossa came after Germany declared war on us (after we had declared war on its ally, Japan). I was wrong. It came before that. So the quiz answer to question 3 is correct.
