Hopefully, these angry Republicans will not be so selfish that they are willing to allow Louisiana to suffer because they are angry at the process. If they do, as Sen. Smith did in New Hampshire, and not support or help the Republican candidate, they will find themselves very unpopular in the next election.

Although others have already made the point, I'll repeat it. Neither Dr. Cooksey nor Governor Foster has any interest in running for any other office. Both are at that point in life where once they step from the spotlight, they aren't likely to return. Making threats against them or insulting them in any way is the stupidest thing that we could do. It won't change their positions and will only alienate their supporters.
