Is Nancy really the best the Democrats have to offer?I think there is a 200 way tie.
To: Lizavetta
That picture looks like a "Stepford wife" pic....or what I imagine one would look like....frozen face, perpetual smile, and seething sadism beneath the veneer.

Is Nancy really the best the Democrats have to offer? Good question! Let me see. We have an oversexed drunk from Massachusetts in the Senate. He is much respected by the left-wing liberal Democrats. There is a woman--well we think she's a woman--from New York--Think about it. Let's give the matter some thought. Instead of Nancy let's change the name to Bela--Bela Pelosi.

The picture of Pelosi is so fake she almost looks real. Sort of like the outside of a prototype version of the terminator.
To: Lizavetta
She looks like a telepath from the horror movie "Scanners" who has just challenged another telepath to a duel.

I would certainly tend to agree with you. But I also remember BUSH #41 after the FIRST Gulf War and it looked like the dems were surrendering just like the Iraqis surrendered to CNN! But who won the election of 1992?
All I'm saying is that it's great that we won as big as we did, but we didn't win as big as we needed and it would be foolish to underestimate the opposition. Especially when they are desperate, like NOW.

Awesome graphic. I think it sums up our mood fairly well.

You have to wonder if Nancy will actually cause FURTHER division of the Democrats. She is so far out there, they might just splinter. Maybe 2004 will be the first three-party race in a hundred years!
Has anyone heard any rumblings within their party?

I read an interview of Pelosi in 'Working Mother' magazine and she did come across as a not-too-bright liberal. No matter what the subject was, the answer was always 'more government funding'. She wants universal daycare and universal health insurance, too, with the govt picking up the tab.
Lucky for us, she's the best the Democrats have right now.

I agree with you. We should not be over-confident.
As you might have gathered from some of my comments, I live in California where there is even less reason to celebrate. Despite the popularity of Bush, Kalifornia manage to elect every Democrat on the ballot.
It is rather frustrating. One has to wonder if Bush should spend some time with the leaders of the California Republican party.

All I'm saying is that it's great that we won as big as we did, but we didn't win as big as we needed and it would be foolish to underestimate the opposition. Especially when they are desperate, like NOW. Yes, yes, yes... and this admonition is exactly why I am so excited about the way President Bush and Chairman Racicot are handling this now. No one is saying now saying "we've won the hearts and minds of the American people" as we (me too) were saying in '94. Time to keep our sleeves rolled up, and capitalize on the experience and organization and success we have had; it is not the time to take a nap.

The reason why,in her view, everything can be solved by more government spending is because she is a marxist-lenninist. This is the truth. There are many communists/socialists in Congress today and she is one of the more vocal.
A trip to the communist party USA page will show you where she gets her agenda. Not too bright=useful idiot to the communists.
Isn't it weird that people who inherit money or get gobs of money through marriage find it so easy to be communists. I don't get it, but many of these people are very wealthy. Instead of giving up their own wealth to "help" people and give them something to feel good about themselves, they'd rather give YOUR money to "help" people and give them something to feel good about themselves.

Do you know what they are planning? Anything to tackle the Republican's problems in California?

Be careful what you wish for; you might get it.

"There are few things more distasteful to hear than Pelosi on Ronn Owens' talk show.
He places his nose squarely up her wrinkled butt."
Martin, you are a cruel man.
Ronn gets more left every day. We tried to get Chronwatch.com on the phone when Bronstein was on to give our view of the SF Chron. As you might imagine, our offer was declined...
