Will Trent Lott Kick Hillary Out of Her Office?
Vanity

Does everyone remember when "Jumpin' Jim Jeffords switched parties shortly after the Bush Inauguration? There were many stories written about the Senators being forced to change offices. At the time, Tom Daschle took a lesser office in order to offer the large, lavish majority leader's office to Hillary. My question is:
Will Trent Lott make her move? (I hope someone is there with a camera to record the event! And I hope she is banished to the basement of the oldest office building.

If it was anyone other than Trent Lott, I would say maybe. I will be very surprised if he does something that great.

Hell. Knowing Trent Lott, he'll probably offer to share power with her.

If she's in the majority leader's office, she'll have to move. Lott's the majority leader now.

I seriously doubt that Lott has the huevos to do that but I'd sure like to be the fly on the wall if that ever happened! I think my life would be complete.

Depends. A senator's personal office doesn't change because of party control. However, a senator who is chairman often have separate offices for the committee and those do change.
The majority leader and minority leaders do not switch offices when party control changes. Both are equally lavish.

Pick the right time, Mr. Lott!!
Maybe we can catch her in one of her ranting and raving moods.

Will Trent Lott make her move?<Not a chance. If he tries, she will just hand him a copy of his FBI file which she still retains.

Only if there is a general reshuffling of offices. In that context, he could get away with it. Otherwise it would look petty and vindictive. But if there is a widespread game of musical chairs, then fine.
If it's true that Daschle shuffled offices, Lott has every excuse to do it again. In any case, it happens every time there is a new congress and a new party in power.
