Bill Clinton has disappeared from TV screens this morning. He is nowhere to be seen. Why?
Clinton, just days ago, was all over the place. Never had a former president acted as the anti-thesis to a sitting president by making a national campaign swing for Democrats.
Never had a former president, and his wife, played such a controlling role in their party after they left the White House.
During this election we discovered, without any doubt, that the Clintons control the Democratic National Committee. They handpicked Terry McAuliffe to head the DNC. Their hand was noticeable in almost every key race around the nation.
But on Tuesday, America rebuked the Clintons and the Democratic Party.
This may be the reason, more than any other, the American people have given Republicans the rare opportunity of controlling of both Congress and the White House.
By almost every indicator, the Democrats should have gained seats, especially with a Republican in the White House.
Add to that factor the terrible economy with trillions in lost wealth in the stock market, and the Democrats should have easily had the Senate and House in a cakewalk.
Instead, the Democrats actually lost seats in the Republican House, and lost their control of the Senate.
In one word, the main reason the Democrats suffered defeat: Clinton.
The party seems hopelessly in the grips of the leftwing, disreputable Clintons and their minions.
Chris Matthews recently noted Bill Clintons influence in the Democratic party, and said he was acting like "Boss Tweed. We know that Bill and Hillary continue to control the DNC through their handpicked chairman, Terry McAuliffe.
And, Bill Clintons dominance in the party became transparent as election day neared. In fact, Clintons hand was almost everywhere: New Jersey, New York, Minnesota, Florida.
He was also deciding where and how much the DNC would spend on behalf of specific candidates.
Though the Clintons engineered Carl McCalls nomination for governor in New York, Clinton later told McCall he couldnt have national DNC funds for his race.
In Florida, the Clintons and McAuliffe made defeating Jeb Bush their highest priority. Not only did millions flow in from Democrat coffers, but this past weekend the Democrats brought into the state their supposed "big gun, Bill Clinton.
Up until Clintons visit, McBride had been gaining in the polls, had momentum on his side, and was within striking distance of defeating Jeb Bush.
Then Clinton arrived. He and Janet Reno appeared with McBride on a Miami stage to rally the vote.
Clinton gave McBride the kiss of death.
Clearly, the Clintons have done this with the Democrats nationally as well.
Voters are smarter than the Clinton Democrats give them credit for.
After 9/11, some liberal media tried to blame the new president. But that didnt wash.
In fact, a Fox News poll found that a majority of Americans blame 9/11 on Clinton, not Bush. It was Clinton who decimated Americas national security infrastructure, making America vulnerable to attack.
The Democrats have also tried to pin the recession on Bush. But thinking Americans know that Bush inherited the recession from Clinton.
President Bush has been the perfect foil for Clinton. Bush has integrity. America is tired of the Clintons and wants them put in the attic. And so do many Democrats.
Soon after Al Gore lost the race in 2000, he met with Clinton in the Oval office.
According to the Washington Post, the meeting was anything but amicable. Gore explained to Clinton that with a strong economy and America at peace, he lost to Bush because of Clintons scandals.
Gore and other Democrats, if they want power again, need to have that discussion again. They needs to have an exorcism and free the party of the Bill-Hillary-Carville-McAuliffe-Begala gang. The Democrats needs to cut the sleaze.
The Democrats need to turn to new leaders, people like Joe Lieberman and Zell Miller, if the party wants to ever be back in power.
Yeah, right. Democrats like those are way too smart to oppose the President now. Lieberman will soon make us forget that he was the last VP nominee as he supports every bill the GOP gets to the floor of the Senate. Miller might as well be a Republican already.
Maybe he and the beast will retire in the hills of Arkansas.

Who cares who Billery hisses or kisses??

Let us pray that he takes the wicked witch of the east with him -- if she'll go.
Between Bubba's "solutions", Al's "inventions" and Tiny Tommy's "concerns" we should be living in a pretty near perfect world.
I guess all those would-be beneficiaries of these superior (snicker, chortle, choke) minds just wouldn't listen and are suffering the consequences. < /sarcasm >
So true! And it's cheap entertainment besides.
Oh come now. We are still trying to fumigate down here. We don't WANT him back. We are already probably one of the worst states in the country for election fraud, not to mention constantly being on the receiving end of abuse for spawning that worthless piece of garbage in the first place. Give us a chance to restore some dignity and clean up the place. Let Cuba have him, or China or one of those other places that he loves so much.
I love to play chess, and needless to say, looking several steps ahead is an important thing to do there. I attempt to approach politics and economics the same way.
I have been trying to figure out what I would do if I were the Demodog dictator, attempting to look ahead a few steps. For the life of me, I have no idea how they can quickly recover right now, assuming the Republicans simply do not attempt to drag America right-ward too fast for the sheeple. From the stories we've heard, it is necessary to dump the 'Toons as fast as they can. The main problem is how can they do it? They are the "face" of the party, and they pull in much of the money contributed to the DNC. How can they give up those things?
That is only one of their problems; many others have been pointed out already, especially the fact that their "base" is a coalition of single issue groups which have little in common. Most of the "good" moves the Demodogs could make now seem to imply significant loss at least in the short run. The moves which do not lose a great deal immediately appear to doom them to a slow and inevitable crushing.
Without the Republican's help, the Demodogs truly have a Gordian knot now, and most of the easy solutions appear to benefit the Republicans for at least '04, and probably quite a few years after that.
Ride your party right into the ground "Big Dog" and Comrade Hillary! LOL! Ya gotta love it!!
