Good grief, several THOUSAND and in more than One precinct. Forgive me my spelling please. Up all night, can't sleep. Groan. I wish the Republicans would GO AHEAD and contest this mess so I could get some rest. LOL. Johnson on CNN now strutting. I HATE Democrats.

As a small-"l" libertarian who's often torn when voting (I just voted for wet Republican Mitt Romney instead of Libertarian Carla Howell) I hate to see that the margin of victory (if it was one) for the Dem in SD was smaller than the Libertarian vote.

From what I have seen reported locally, it seems that most of the fraud was Registrations, not ballots. HOWEVER- the fraud reports started coming out the middle of October. I believe absentee ballots were sent in starting Sep. 24.
MY GUESS:
As the recount goes on, more and more absentee ballots will be disallowed. These ballots will be from the reservations. Indians will scream that the white man is keeping him down. Thune will prevail, but it will be ugly.

He knows exactly how he (BARF) "won" this election. You know, I don't care what the buzzards say about us. Why should we care, sic em guys. I will be REALLY irate with the Republicans if we DON'T go after this one, tooth and nail. If we don't, it'll be worse when Dashell runs.

"The one exception is Shannon County, in the SouthWest (still gray on this map as of 11 AM Eastern Time), which apparently went 92% for Johnson (a 2,600 vote margin)." Interesting segment from a Newsmax article about Shannon County:
"The Wall Street Journal reports a Shannon County election clerk received a high number of new voter registrations, many "clearly signed by the same person" and some hailing from Nebraska. Bret Healy, the executive director of the South Dakota Democratic Party, has said he notified the U.S. attorney about the fraud and subsequently fired contractor Becky Red Earth-Villeda after she allegedly submitted invalid voter registrations"

>Probably the Indian vote, which was reportedly much heavier than normal.
Probably 105%.

>>. Let's hope the Senate slashes each and every SD pork project<<
Nah.
Send 'em 100,000 snow shovels, and some expensive milk from Vermont.
To: DWPittelli
Does anyone know if Shannon's results should be seen as suspicious in terms of percentages or vote totals or recent fraud accusations? Johnson 2,856
Thune 248
Evans 14
Yep - MASSIVE vote fraud here. I posted a thread a few days before the election showing the fraudulently inflated voter registration numbers on the reservations.
In 2000 - during a PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, which ALWAYS has higher turnout than off-year elections - there was a TOTAL of less than 2,000 votes cast in Shannon County. Now there is suddenly over 3,000.
No way. It is absolutely Massive Democratic Vote Fraud®.

"The only reason to sue is if their is fraud, and if fraud has taken place the fraudulent votes will not stand."The problem is that the fraud investigation of all those dead voters is still ongoing. Meaning that votes cast and counted as valid today may be tossed as INvalid next week...or two weeks from now...whatever.
Either way, this SUCKS. A recount is not only in order, it's necessary.

Oh, but they love to elect Democrats and hurt Republicans. Jerks. You know, maybe we need to support some Green Party canidates in these areas where the Lib people work out. LOL. Even up the playing field somewhat. :)

Only Saddam, Stalin or Castro got a higher percentage than Johnson in that precinct.

Yep - Great White Democrat Father speak with forked tongue. Buy fraudulent votes with firewater.
No question about it (see my post above).

Pretty bold stuff, considering that the Feds initiated the fraud investigation
before the election.
Dubya and Ashcroft might have these thieves boxed and the Dems either don't care or are too stupid to realize they didn't CYA.
This could get brutal.

I just called Thune's SD office to request that he request a recount (I'm in FL!). Chad in his office said it was an automatic recount. Told Chad lots of people across the country were for Thune to be in the Senate.

They stole it fair and square.

Plus the total number of registered voters increased from 446,931 in 2000, to 475984 now. Hum, if I'm seeing this correctly that's over 29,000 pop. increase in under 2 years. Does this seem right? For South Dakota?

The libetarians happened, that's what. The 1% of the vote they gave to the libertarian candate probably lost it for Thune...and probably kept a pro-Second Amendment candidate OUT of the Senate That's precisely why I don't vote LP. While I have alot in common with small "l" libertarians, the mere thought that somehow I helped elect an outright socialist prevents me from pulling that lever for a LP candidate.
