Thread of Thanks: A debt of gratitude to Jim and John Robinson and FR.
Posted on 11/06/2002 4:33:08 AM PST by RedBloodedAmerican
We can't say "Thank You" enough for your hard work and efforts. We know the results of the elections last night was a personal goal for you as indicated by many of your posts, as well as one of the goals of FreeRepublic, and you worked hard towards that end.
Congratulations, and thank you. FR played an important role in getting out the truth and facts, tearing down the lies and spin, in spite of the odds from Dems, disruptors, AF'ers and those on other sites whose goal it was to derail you.

We may never know the full impact of FR, but I shudder to think of what would have happened had FR not existed.Me too. For one thing, I'd be babbling away in a padded room somewhere. This place has saved my sanity at least three different times.

RBA: Thanks for doing this thread - I had just been thinking one needed to be started.
Jim: Thank you so much for your stand for Bush and supporting the fight against the democrats. We won this battle. I am so proud of you, FreeRepublic, the American people for standing up and telling the Democrats - "No!!!!!"
Just heard on CNN - Daschle speaking and chastised the media for not getting the democrat message out. Then Paula and someone were discussing and showing where they did reveal the charts, etc. of the democrat economy plan. They claim they did get the information reported. I think they forgot their bias and the fact they are an arm of the democrat party was being revealed on the air.
Don't remember them covering the President's talk about the Iraq plans. Don't remember them carrying many of the President's speeches. Seems daylight is revealing so much and IT IS NOTED.

Thanks guys! I know you've been tearing your hair out over the technical glitches of the past few weeks, and I think FR came through election night with flying colors. WTG!

Woo-yah! I personally rely on FR as my first source of information of all types. It's a case of "you know you're addicted when..." because when FR is unavailable due to my travel or internet problems, I do have withdrawal symptoms!
Thanks for all you have done and continue to do to support this great Republic of ours, the United States of America.
Thank you for providing a forum where I can be firm in my beliefs in ways other political forums sneer at and where I can state my opinions freely. This forum has influenced my political mindset forever, as I will never again take for granted the freedoms we enjoy or the responsibilities we share. The many strong people at the board have helped me "grow a backbone", where before I was wishy-washy and unsure of what I stand for.
Conservatives have been drowned out by the shouting of the misguided masses for too long. Together, we form a much louder voice and a force for positive change.

Thank you. I know this forum is helping motivate Americans across the country.
We are able to keep each other informed and "de-spin" the lies told in the media, thereby energizing each other and encouraging us to "keep up the good fight."

Well said. I think this place is the nerve center of the Republican wing of the Republican party, and that's who won this election last night. Two years now to govern without Leahy and Daschle controlling the agenda of the upper house. Country may be in good shape in 2004, and we Freepers all deserve some of the credit as this place is an incubator of ideas and a cauldron of partisan enthusiasm!

While it's a sad day here in Wisconsin, I thank Jim Rob and God for the blessings received on the National level.

Your creation has changed the face of politics. FR is a superior tool to galvanize action and expose media bias and the left's lies. What would we ever do without you? You have my deepest respect and most profound thanks.

I couldn't agree more. I am new to FR and I love it. After years of frustration with network news liberals and the not so thinly veiled anti-american sentiment they spew (Fox News excluded), it is so good to have a forum where conservatives can gather information and comment, opine, vent, and debate the issues that are important to us. You have saved my tv from many projectiles. I cannot thank you enough.
I raise my glass to the party of Lincoln.

President Bush refrained from going after the Clinton crimes - something many of us disagreed with. But that did not mean the President is not a fighter. 2000 should have told us that. Can we now look back and realize how different things would have been if he had spent those few months before the attack on all things Clinton? He would have rallied the Clinton mob, put them in the poor persecuted mode and spent those months fighting. No tax cut, no education reform, nothing but Clinton.
Then the attack and the war. Clinton would still have been forefront in everyone's minds as the poor persecuted ex-pres.
Instead, we have a President that spends time getting results for the American people in their pocketbook, in their schools, in their foreign relations.
Thanks President Bush for realizing you were put there to carry out your stated agenda - not as top prosecuter. You were elected to do the people's business and you have done it wonderfully. It would be wonderful for Clinton to get his just desserts but there are others in government that can handle that - it does not need the president to do it.
IMHO.

I agree. They have built a wonderful tool with FR.
I remember during the 1st Clinton election that Clinton's team was praised for their ability to react quickly with spin or to counter spin. The media commented on their response time being critical in their team's ability to be on top of changing situations/news.
Bush Sr's team was woefully more slow. Apparently, everything that happened had to be processed before it could be addressed. They were helpless against the media and against spin.
FR is many things. ONE thing it is is a place where news, ideas, spin can be RAPIDLY dissected and addressed. I don't know that this site gets watched by many others than the average Americans who frequent it, but I'm certain that when they come here they get a boatload of ideas on how to respond to any event that transpires, any "spin cycle" that rears its ugly head.
FR is fast...extremely fast...with ideas.
I believe Jim & John Robinson have built a lasting and useful tool to assist the advancement of the constitution, of America, and of conservatism.

We are so Blessed to have a community forum and center for conservative activism such as Free Republic.
Thank-you Jim and John Robinson for giving us this haven in the maelstrom. Having a central place to meet has empowered us. Yesterday's election results (particularly in GA) proves it.
May God Bless you all abundantly and May God continue to Bless America!
