Thread of Thanks: A debt of gratitude to Jim and John Robinson and FR.
Posted on 11/06/2002 4:33:08 AM PST by RedBloodedAmerican
We can't say "Thank You" enough for your hard work and efforts. We know the results of the elections last night was a personal goal for you as indicated by many of your posts, as well as one of the goals of FreeRepublic, and you worked hard towards that end.
Congratulations, and thank you. FR played an important role in getting out the truth and facts, tearing down the lies and spin, in spite of the odds from Dems, disruptors, AF'ers and those on other sites whose goal it was to derail you.

"...how many times have I been told I was a libertarian whenever I say that I don't care about government and that I prefer to do things for myself rather than wait for someone I think is just going to hold me back." In an effort to find common ground, I have often proposed the concept of Federal Libertarianism, which is pretty much Constitutionalism, wherein we enforce the Ninth and Tenth Amendments of the Constitution, and States can become either the Soviet Union or an Anarchical Utopia, as long as they don't violate the Rights of their citizenry?!

BTW...what do you think of ELF (Environmental Liberation Front)?! FYI...IMHO, they are DomesticLeftWing Terrorists and deserved to be CRUSHED!!

Returning to the theme of this thread: Thank you Jim and John Robinson for a forum to which hundreds-of-thousands may turn to read truth, and the debates around that truth. Net power is enormous and we Freepers owe you a debt of gratitude which is surpassed only by the debt this nation woes to you for helping to change the political landscape and direction of the Republic via exchange and debate over ideas.

Isn't that the truth? It is terrific to have a place to go where others think like I do.

"If we are going to work to preserve the tenth ammendment, we have to dissolve the nation." See, dude, I ain't even comfortable with the concept of a Constitutional Convention...LOL!! Seriously, can you imagine the nutjobs that'll attract?! Dissolving the Nation, eh...I reckon you must agree with Walter Williams' views vis a vis the Rights of States to secede then, Right?!

Jim and John: Thank you both for your vision, your courage in the face of so much (liberal) opposition, and for your tireless efforts in keeping this amazing site going on a daily basis. I have no doubt that this grass roots forum contributed a great deal to the historic GOP victory we enjoyed after Tuesday's election. Onward to 2004!
Also... To the many FReepers who volunteered their services to campaigns nationwide: Thank you!
God bless you all, and may God continue to bless America!
