Katherine Harris won the 13th Congressional District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives for Florida's southwest coast, defeating Democrat Jan Schneider by 55 percent to 45 percent - a double digit victory -

As Florida secretary of state in 2000, Harris was vilified by Democrats and likened to puppy-snatching cartoon villainess Cruella De Vil when she certified George W. Bush the winner over Al Gore

Her clothing and make-up were the butt of jokes on late-night television shows and criticized by numerous liberal print "journalists"

I guess dreams do come true...My Dream from July of 2001 (before Katherine announced her bid to run) I predicted she'd run for Congress, I predicted she'd win, and in May, when I had my interview with her for my internship, I told her all this and she was so happy! Congratulations Katherine! Now, let's just hope I'll do my internship! Also, Congrats to the most wonderful Governor JEB BUSH!!!
