I have always done most all the cooking. I like to do it and now that I am home all day long, I am now a house husband. I don't do much washing though, My wife won't trust me sorting the cloths. Heh,heh, heh!

92% in, Coleman still with a 4% lead. If that still holds at 95-96%, I think we can rest easy.
To: Letitring

Yeah, I have it up in seperate window as well. Should be working, but instead enjoying some single malt and a fine Partagas.
What a night.

Looks like 31 precincts yet to report in S.D. Thune up by... what? A bit less than 2,000?

While we are waiting on Minnesota, does anyone have a feel for how Louisiana will play out? Does McAwful have any $$$ left for Miss Mary? Does Miss Mary have any $$$ left? Since she will be in the minority, will anyone open their checkbook?

I voted against both, but since I live in McDermott's district I had to vote for a brave Republican woman who got beat bad. No worries, the Seattle Libs can have their McDermott sanctuary to run to.

It's not "pure gravy". There is the Chaffee factor. An additional Senator or two will ensure that he stays in line, as he has nothing to gain by doing a Jeffords.

Gee... I was just thinking it's way past my bedtime at 2:00 am. Guess I'll stay up a bit later.
Go THUNE and Go COLEMAN!!
3 Senate seats would be sweet!!
To: Gunder
i counted 25 precincts....I am thinking they stopped counting for the night.
To: wirestripper
OK...here's more on the Senate ballot-counting issue...remember the million ballots of about two-ish hours ago? There's a good explanation: take, for example, Washington County (on the WI border, Twin Cities suburbia). There are 82 of the 84 precints reporting some result to the county office...but in the senate race, there are only 24 precints reporting results as of 0403 CST and the order is COLEMAN, MONDALE, MOORE, WELLSTONE, TRICOMO. But they have a long way to go even in this late stage.

All but over in MN, 10% to go, and almost a 4% lead for Coleman. Yeeee haaaa!
My only remaining queasiness is the 10,000 demonRAT lawyers deployed to various states. They will be reassigned to MN, SD and LA and start working those states Supreme Courts.
Anyway, gotta get some sleep now. Whatta night!

If We have a 2 seat majority it will take the wind out of them...but If we have only the 1 seat we have now they will fight like rabid dogs to hold....just a feel. We have the money and they will also for the are no spending limits according to FOX...somthing about grandfather clause.

I heard Morris's prediction, I felt much more comfortable about the GOP's chances. The guy is always wrongBoy, ain't that the truth! He is an uncannily lousy predictor of the outcome of these races. I do respect much of his analysis, but he sure has a blind spot for this stuff.
To: MadIvan
It's more than just an insurance vote. It helps the leadership inch closer to the important 60 votes to obtain cloture on key legislation. And it affects committee ratios.

I saw Bill Frist on Fox News with Brit Hume. He said positively that Chafee was NOT going anywhere.
To: Letitring
I voted straight Republican today and I am a Libertarian. So I don't think it is impossible to work with Libertarians. The overwhelming majority of Libertarians vote Republican. A lot of the Libertarian votes come from people transitioning to Republican voter from Democrat or non-voter.
