I truly believed that our Jay, the good Jay, could win.

I know just how you feel. We tried to get Dale Shugars elected in SW Michigan in last summer's primary. We had all the pro-lifers and most of the 2 amendment folks with us, but never managed to connect with the "Joe 6-pack" republicans who live in this district. We also got outspent 1.5 million to 80,000. There were few polls taken, and the incumbent RINO seemed to be running scared. In the end, however, we lost 60-32. A real shellacking.
