I want to see Strom's judicial appointment move out of the judiciary committee while Strom is still there. Rub the new leadership in Leahy's face.

The Democrat Governor we have has been a bloody nightmare. Good luck to all the other States who have one. Ick. It won't mean anything, ultimately, I hope. Just one more thing to fight. Groan. MSNBC has been such a trip tonight, as usual. ROFLOL. I can't believe how late/early it is and I am not tired. I am just giddy. :)What a GREAT day. :)NOW, to see Coleman win...:)

LOL!! Go Strom! (Read his bio some time. You'll be amazed at what this old man has done during his lifetime.)

In the words of Dieter from Sprockets, "I'm as happy as a little girl."

With Republicans holding 50 seats and Demorats holding 46... what is the standing on the remaining seats? Anybody?
To: Carolinamom
That was my first thought. I just hope Trent Lott starts playing hardball with these guy & that Senator Hatch is as tough as Leahy was.

Roger that - the numbers are changing fast.

Each of the tv news gangs were analyzing why the Democrats lost so much, like no agenda and other reasons. Maybe I'm just dreaming, or hopeful, or deluded, ... but I truly believe that a MAJOR reason for the high turnout was the Republicans despising the Plane Crash Jamboree. That totally affected many people I know here in NY, and I think that was so nationwide. Must do a poll to find out...

I will be really, really happy for Thune if he wins. Coleman's my guy, but I've been so impressed with Thune. He's a very solid, down-to-earth, Christian, family-oriented man. He'll be an asset in the Senate (keeping fingers crossed)... as will Talent and Chambliss. Man, I am so, so happy right now!!

And what about Phil Donahue and his buddies, such as Michael Moore, Ralph Nader and Tim Robbins? I can't wait to hear their "analysis". :-DThey are completely irrelevant.

SD is in trouble with voter registration fraud. No joke. 17,000 registered since the PRIMARY. It's been a BIG deal, big time. Most from the Indian Reservation and Counties surrounding.

Two years ago, it was obvious to everyone that job one for us was to retake the Senate. I am grateful to God that He has allowed us to reach that goal.
On a personal level, my spot in the battle line ended up being in WV, helping Jay Wolfe in his challenge of Jay Rockefeller. That unfortunately ended tonight in defeat.
But it was far from a total loss. Jay Wolfe fought hard, and never compromised his principles or his message. His supporters, the conservatives of WV, are now better organized, better trained, and more experienced than they have ever been. They are committed to the long haul vision of making this a Republican state in the not-so-distant future.
Perhaps I made a fool of myself here in the last few days---I truly believed that our Jay, the good Jay, could win. Until about dinner time tonight, I even thought that he would.
But in the end, I did all that I could do, and that will have to suffice.
West Virginia missed a great opportunity today to elect a good and an honorable man; but the battle goes on.
