AMEN. You know, I don't think we'll be seeing very many RHINO's for awhile. Do you? :)We've got the spot marked, though. :)

That was a sweet move for Thune.

Damn...we gotta beat Daschle in his own state. I don't want to beat them, I want them humiliated too.

I just checked Shannon county (indian reservation). They gave Gore a 1400 vote margin last time. I don't know how many they registered during the "voter drive." Still, after the last bump, Thune is looking much much better.

Will Hillary have to move her office? I don't think so, it was Moynihan's even during repub control of Senate wasnt it? I wanta see her in a windowless airless closet right next to a bunch of pubs.

AB-SO-LUTE-LY! The majority party gets first pick of offices. Hillary will only get a second-tier office concurrent with her seniority in the Senate, which is pretty low since she's only been there two years.

Leahy will no longer smirk, stab, and gloat as the Judicial committee chairman. That alone makes me happy....ok, make that estatic!

The problem is -- yes, the Dems did well in the big, industrial states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, Illinois, etc. But the GOP snuck in under the radar (sort of) and took states like Mass, Maryland, Georgia. Yes, I wish we'd held on to the first group of states, but this was hardly the gubernatorial Democratic blowout the left was hoping for.

Not much hope for Simon, it would take a miricle. California seems to be screwed. How long before the state's debts surpass the National debt. How long before crditors give us a rating so bad we have to borrow money on a state credit card...say with a 1 trillion dollar limit and 20 percent interest rate?

The reason is simple! Turnout, turnout, turnout. Although the number of races won adds up to a landslide victory, the actual victory margins in a majority of the races were very small.

We need to remember this night and make sure that we show up in force on Election Day for years to come.
