I believe that he guaranteed a McBride victory.
Isn't the number 1-866-VOTE-411?
Your're absolutely right. He did say that. I wouldn't call though, Terry would try to spin every call to his favor, even if they all were complaints about him.

Get out the drills, boys!
We're goin' to ANWR!

In SD, I examined the counties with precincts yet to report.
40 were in counties Johnson carried.
31 were in counties Thune carried
6 were in even counties.
Two counties with 31 total precincts had zero votes recorded: Shannon (10) and Davison (21). I think I saw earlier that these were GOP counties.
Can anyone confirm? If so, Thune looks like he is going to win this one!

Typical Rat strangleholds

He answered our prayers! He did indeed. God is very good. And now I pray that the Republican Government will seek to do God's will.
This is a good night. I pray we live up to it.
'night, all.

Clinton will probably be PAYING audiences to listen to him now.

(There's also a reading of MN law that says Coleman sits immediately, just as in MO, but we'd have to sue to establish that and, being The Stupid Party, probably won't.) (shoot... should have covered this last post) ... Despite that MN law, the last time this situation arose the Senate refused to sit the replacement since it would give him a more than six year term. That precident will probably be followed.

Thune is creeping toward a 3,000 vote margin. That would put +3 in the bag (and +5-8 in the House to boot). And LA can still get us one more...
That's a little tiny bit better than the -30 historical average in an off-year election (and we had to win 20-14 60% in the Senate just to break even, so what this means is that we may win the Senate races 24-10, or at least 23-11, in a year we were supposed to lose big).
That's a bigger win than '94 in my book.
Hope Dick Morris and John Zogby are too embarrassed to show their faces for a few years...nah, that's hoping for too much.

Don't think I saw her. Campaign manager, maybe?
To: Senator_Palpatine
Ok, I finally got it.... Senator Palpatine. It took a while, my thoughts are on the election, not movies... Sheeesh, you must be a huge fan. LOL

We'll have a chance to pick up another seat when Sen. Byrd blows a gasket sometime during a two-year long filibuster.

I vote Libertarian because I've never seen a Republican with the courage or compassion to question the morality of the federal governments plan to impose an 82% lifetime federal tax rate on every child in America. If Republicans are content with condemning their own children to a lifetime of slavery to the federal government, why should I trust them to protect my freedom?
To: Otta B Sleepin
Here are two more.....Senator Thune! Amen to that!
To: SouthernFreebird
Bear hugs back to you,go to bed now,we won.
To: Letitring
What a FINE night.Indeed!
The 3 week rally in the stock market helped preserve this GOP victory. I personally don't think we are out of the woods by a long shot, but this rally helped keep the focus off the economy. Now let's hope the GOP can really do something about the economy. We certainly don't want a Hoover manOOver to suck us into a 20 year FDR drought.

CNN just projected Davis the winner in CA...Time to get out...

" I believe Hillary's probably smilin' big tonight. The way is now completely clear for her to run for president in '04, "for the good of the country." No..because the dims are in line 3 on the NY ballot and loose a lot of committee, staff and other perks in NY.
It blows a hole in her presidential ambitions
To: Otta B Sleepin
Congratulations on your governorship, I wish I could be as excited (Granholm--MI). But, hey, we have the senate and the house...WOOOHOOOOOOO!
