Tom Murphy going down has to be one of the biggest upsets in the country. That would be the equivalent of South Dakota voting Daschle out, or MA voting Tip O'Neill out. That guy has always steered warehouses full of pork to little 'ol Bremen, GA. What the heck happened, was he found in bed with a dead girl or a live boy?

Combination of Paulding Co. becoming much more a Cobb County-like suburban enclave, along with people upset with Murphy's placement of a new reservoir in Carroll County adjacent to land that Murphy, his brother-in-law and several other relatives & close friends own. Their land (which'll become lakefront property) will skyrocket in value.

Some folks will probably point to other issues as well, but these two are probably the biggest factors.

I have to disagree. It will be easy to do the right things. What choice do the Republicans have? IF they stand, and I do pray God we will stand, then they MUST deliver. They will. Our Country has been locked in this weird mess for too long. Our Nation will move forward and quickly. We have no choice. If the Republicans DON'T deliver, that is the end of it. Don't you think? Republicans will be voted out, in droves, if they don't keep their platform and positions.

Folks, our hats have to go off to President Bush. He has used his political capital selflessly to take back the Congress. His agenda will go forward which will replenish what he has "spent" in time for his reelection. Winners always take risks! His campaigning was a wise risk!

So this Demo would like to see things go badly for Bush in Iraq in order to retake control of the govt---I wonder if he's stopped to consider what that means in terms of American lives? Pretty sad.

Indeed she is. The loss of Heather will probably hurry my retreat from the "Land of Enchantment" to the High Plains of western Texas. From the past two elections, the word "Enchantment" may as well mean "northern Mexico" except that Mexico is more pro-business.
