Tom Murphy going down has to be one of the biggest upsets in the country. That would be the equivalent of South Dakota voting Daschle out, or MA voting Tip O'Neill out. That guy has always steered warehouses full of pork to little 'ol Bremen, GA. What the heck happened, was he found in bed with a dead girl or a live boy?

Combination of Paulding Co. becoming much more a Cobb County-like suburban enclave, along with people upset with Murphy's placement of a new reservoir in Carroll County adjacent to land that Murphy, his brother-in-law and several other relatives & close friends own. Their land (which'll become lakefront property) will skyrocket in value.

Some folks will probably point to other issues as well, but these two are probably the biggest factors.

Could be a double win for me. If I move back to Georgia, that would be a beautiful place to buy a dream lakeside home amidst the pines!
