Gov. Sanford (r) wins in South Carolina!!

It should be noted that this is a pick-up for the GOP.

Tony Sanchez is a tourist around Texas. Big spender, though, just this year he spent 70million pokin' around Texas backroads and chicken-ranches.

He did joke once that he might claim he's running for governor, just for the tax advantage.

Don't worry, his name won't arise to disturb your slumber any more... :)

I've heard rumors here that the MO governor is going to try to delay certifying the senate results until the last possible moment.

What good will that do if the new MN senator (whether Barkley or Coleman) votes to reorganize the Senate?

Yep, looks like the sheep here in Illinois made it a clean sweep for the 'Rats. Hand over your guns and wallet, drop yer shorts and grab yer ankles....

I guess they figured that after Lyin Ryan, RINO, they may as well go for the completely unadulterated poison of Illinois Democrat machine politics. Of course, one has to figure a huge amount of Chicago Democrat vote fraud that Republicans have to overcome just to start to get ahead.

A look at the maps on CNN.com shows an interesting picture...right now it looks as if Hennepin Cty. (Minneapolis) is going for Norm (of course, they probably haven't begun to count the votes in Minneapolis proper...)

I realize that you aren't showing Landrieu as having won, but her opponent will not be John Cooksey. Her opponent will be Suzanne Haik Terrell. Mrs. Terrell will be a great candidate, and we need to start supporting her now.

CNBC reporting Daschle telling Jim Avila that he expects the Senate to go GOP. Especially concerned about MO and SD races.

When has Daschle ever been concerned about SD? And the SD voters know it too. The voters of SD will be taking away their own senior Senators Majority leadership if they elect Thune.

The following DU poster got quickly shouted down:

>>we have got to wake up and smell the ass kicking. bill clinton has shown the way to win. most real dems say that he was a republician, well so is most of this country, well at least the one's that vote. the others are just as happy as a pig in slop. they don't care who wins as long as they get their benefits. they don't give a rats ass about the direction of this country because they are all fat and well fed.
we have got to start appealing to the people who go and vote, and those are the folks in the middle, we have got to start pushing for tax reductions for the middle class big time. we have got to start pushing for improvements in the military, I say mainly for the personnel, not big time weapons. we have got to become the party of the small business man.

people are scared of the boggy man, and georgie is beating us to the punch. welfare is going to have to go, so will affirmative action, they are killing us with this stuff, and the people who get the most benefits from this will not even take the time to go out and vote. and don't think I'm some half ass repug, I'm not I'm just tired of lossing to the lying sob's. to win we are going to have to play like they play.

it's funny because this is what nader is hoping for. for the repugs to screw things up so bad that all of those fat and happy people I'm pissed at will lose that comfort blanket and get mad. the problem with that is we will be deep in a depression, and I just don't want to go there just to get somebody that gives a damn elected.

sorry for the rant, but man I'm so pissed off I don't know what to do.<<

Man, Democrats push for middle class tax cuts? They really are getting desperate ;^)

The Bredesen (D) win in Tennessee is a mega bummer. Too much Republican crossover voting. Bredesen managed to win Knox County, which is pretty mind-boggling considering that Knoxville is the "capital" of solidly Republican east Tennessee.

Dear Lord, you know, the news media in this Country is pitiful. The very worst part of it, to me, they truly haven't a clue how very WRONG they are. If they'd get OUT of their ivory towers, learn to LOVE this Country, live throughout the Country, rather than among themselves, and TALK to other people than just THEMSELVES, then they might get a glimmer about what is WRONG. Jesus, Lord.
