Well, we have come to the point where the rubber meets the road. We all have our opinions or gut feelings about what is going to happen in this election. Here is your chance to carve your opinions into stone, or at least, into FR's data base. Tomorrow, or whenever we find out the results, wouldn't it be nice to have the whole world know that you nailed it on the head?

I've picked ten races, just to make the post election math easier. Wanna play?

Hutchinson (R) - Pryor (D) Senate in Arkansas
Chambliss (R) - Cleland (D) Senate in Georgia
Coleman (R) - Mondale (D) Senate in Minnesota
Talent (R) - Carnahan (D) Senate in Missouri
Sununu (R) - Shaheen (D) Senate in New Hampshire
Dole (R) - Bowles(D) Senate in North Carolina
Thune (R) - Johnson (D) Senate in South Dakota
Simon (R) - Davis (D) Governor of California
Bush (R) - McBride (D) Governor of Florida
Ehrlich (R - Townsend (D) Governor of Maryland

OK..Ten races...how many will you get right?

No prizes in this FR contest except the bragging rights and a time/date stamp on your post url, to prove your prognostication prowess!

What's with the pessimism? The GOP base is motivated and our "get out the vote" efforts are much better organized than '00. Here in Delaware Republicans are psyched even though we face near certain defeat facing Joe Biden in a blue state. That kind of sorry attitude will only keep people from going to the polls.

While neither party vigorously presented a clear and comprehensive economic and national security strategery, it's clear that the democrats not only failed to lead, but obstructed the administrations efforts across a broad legislative spectrum.

I think you are right; I have sensed this even when talking to moderate acquaintances. Let's hope and pray that with the post 9-11 generation, it is all about leadership! Excellent post.

Carnahan is set to be slaughtered; awful numbers and an underwhelmed base. Even with the St. Louis fraud, she gets her ears boxed big time.

No, not Rush but a signed copy of "See, I told you so"

What could be more appropriate on this glosious day? Thank you, Mud! How good of you! And in the case of multiple winners, a lottery?

"That's soooooooo funny!!!! *LOL*"

Holy Cow.
Whadda ya [ye] know about that, H1??
I'm kinda dumbfounded.

Know what kinda *odds* we just trashed, Angel?
I believe the number would look something along the lines of, 6 x 109 to 1.
That is, the odds of running into 1 person -- in the just slightly less than infinite depths of cyber space -- out of a world of 6 billion people?

Hmmmmmmm.
Facinating.
Wonder what it *means*? :o)

...now where's that kinda luck when I play the *PowerBall* Loto*!??! ;^)

And if you win, you can try look for me in Barbados!
With your powers of seeking me out, I'm sure you'll succeed! *LOL*

"You flirtin' again, Ol'Man?!"

Mud.
The very thought of my ever (knowingly :o) ) "flirting" with anything except danger, is patently absurd.
Simply rediculous. (~get'cher head outa yer bunghole, son!)

Do you realize what happened, here??

Get out your scientific notion calculator bucko, & figure the odds.
Just plug-in lots & lots of zeros & ya can't go wrong.

...even for you. :o)

I predict that many Freepers will commit Hari Kiri before the end of the night due to extreme frustration over thousands of vanity posts about the election.

Yeah, I wish I could take back my guess on that one. It was a cynical vote, and a wrong one. Carnahan should lose.

Wewillnotfail, can I amend my previous entry to de-select Carnahan?
