Prediction: Mondale has senior moments, dozes off, and gives a number of incoherent answers. --The Red Star Tribune and Pioneer Press lead Tuesday's editions with headlines that say "Mondale shows vigor, defeats Coleman". This is exactly what happened in New Jersey -- Lautenberg was awful during the 2 debates (first he was totally off-topic, stuttering, and nasty -- did a bit better in the 2nd debate, probably because he was sitting down and they had a "puffball" moderator, but he was still extremely rude and did not impress). however -- the local media reported in glowing terms how well he did, how forceful and vigorous he was -- I felt like I was trapped in a Twilight Zone episode !

I am surprised at how young and "cute" Coleman is in this picture -- he's not at all as I imagined him ! You think that get him some of the soccer-mom vote (I can say this, only because I am one of them)

My guess is that Jesse will appoint Jim Moore.

What a dumb time to have a debate! If they held it when MOST debates are held, he'd show up in his jammies. I'll bet he's not too sharp as evening approaches.

The one thing the Democrats failed to consider is talk radio. The 10:00 AM debate tees the ball up perfectly for Limbaugh, Souceray and the rest. And teeing it up for the choir helps in what way?

You don't mean, Pretty, pretty, pretty!?
(No, wait. That's the other washed up old has-been.)

Maybe Fritz hasn't had his BM yet and the metamucil is working or maybe he lost his eyeglasses No, he's relearning how to use his abacus.
He's trying to figure out how much to raise our taxes. Unfortunately for the Mondull, the modern machinery of a 1960's mechanical calculator is just too much for his aged brain.

Hey Grammy
Fox News is doing a news update and WOW the crowd sounds loud there outside of the debate

JUDGE- Due to lack of interest (by voters), no Independant will be in debate.
To: mombonn
Well, Mondale's bright and early today -- he just arrived; FNC showed him wading through the Coleman supporters (one hand-made sign for Moore).

"If they held it when MOST debates are held, he'd show up in his jammies. I'll bet he's not too sharp as evening approaches."
May I make a few minor corrections to that statement, please ?
If they held it when MOST debates are held, he'd show up in his jammies with martini glass in hand. I'll bet he's not too sharp sober as evening approaches.

To: Mo1
Very loud !! --lots of Coleman signs -- one sad hand-made cardboard mondale sign and a very nasty independent woman who I thought was going to say the "F" word right behind the FOX News reporter ! Could you understand what they were chanting ?? Sounded like Go-Norm-Go but I wasn't sure

Lucky you! Hubby refuses an outlet in the bathrooms or on the back porch. He says he has drawn a line in the sand {this was after the election when there was sand in the bathroom after 30 days of non stop tv watching}
