They should clean up the Social Security databases

I had a lady in the SSI Office tell me that at different times I've had four other people using my SSI number.

I know a guy who had a job background check and didn't get the job because of what others had done to his social security number. He was only 18 and apparently there was a woman using it in California and she wasn't an entirely honest person. You're lucky if yours didn't ruin your credit or get in trouble with the law.

We need to start turning off the benefits. Virginia used to be in the black, as to the budget. It has ballooned by about 6 or 7 Billion in the last two years. Much of this goes to those mooching off the system.

"using my SSI number"...another hidden cost. I just noticed recently that my homeowners insurance carries coverage for identity theft. You know who pays for that.

It wasn't liberal judges' fault that Los Angeles politicians handcuffed the LAPD with Special Order 40 - a decree not to cooperate with the INS in most all cases.

Let the sheeple of Kalifornia themselves pay for the crazy liberal schemes their elected local politicians enact. Only then will they demand a crackdown on illegals by local police.

But we're just part of one big government entity. People just move from area to another. If they want to crash jets into our buildings, then we should try to understand them. If they repeatedly break our immigration laws, and they want to hunt us down as snipers with their boy lovers, then that is just a lifestyle choice.

Could a program such as this eventually fall under the Homeland Security bill? I'm still interested in Colin Powell's cryptic referral to the immigration problem and the passing of the Homeland Security...

I'm more interested in the amount of money illegals add to citizen's healthcare premiums. If anyone has any stats on that, please let me know.

Haven't read the homeland security bill...maybe that is why Dasche is blocking it. Democrats don't want to resolve the problem. Somebody has to pay for the healthcare bills. I'm sure hospitals pass along the cost, if they can't get it back through government plans. Then of course, higher taxes pay for the government plans at both the state and federal levels. Maybe someone can provide us with details.

Well we've all heard the horror stories of pregnany illegals coming here just to give birth. Where I live, we get a lot of seasonal illegals (farming, crops, etc). So I've often wondered what the impact is on my healthcare premiums. Now, if the INS/Feds were doing their jobs at the borders, I wouldn't have to ask about healthcare costs...
