First Lady Laura Bush also traveled the campaign trail by stumping in North Carolina and Georgia. The First Couple will continue traveling this weekend, heading to Florida and Minnesota this weekend. I will hope and pray that you get tickets and get to see Dubya. I think after all your hard studying and all the work you have done to get your law degree and pass the bar, you deserve the best. And what could be better than that? oh, yeah, an invitation to the White House. Ok, that's your next objective.

Now that OWF has left (look behind the door), I can tell you what she said about you..........Go ahead, Nan......tell mountaingirl all the awful things I said about her! hehe
Ok you guys, it's not nice to talk about a Bush Babe behind her back! lol!
To: ohioWfan
Oh girl, are you ever lucky! To think I live in the same county as him and have only seen his motorcade once, but you get a kiss. Life isn't fair I tell you. Do you think if I travel out of state I might have a chance to see him? Congratulations on what must have been the thrill of a lifetime. Love the pictures too!
To: NordP
God bless you.

It started raining here last night just after I told you it wasn't, and hasn't stopped. Just a slow drizzle and it's cold and dreary. How about at your place?

Your father sounds like a wonderful loving man .. thank you for sharing that story about him ..

Hey! Sorry I never answered you last night. Fatigue won out over FR. Yes, it's raining here. It is ALWAYS raining here, lol. I think we've been wet for three weeks now. Like you, we're cool. I think the temperature is around 50. If this keeps up we might actually get winter this year.

Pardon my show of ignorance, but what's rain? (Says a Californian who hasn't seen any in a coon's age) LOL! I am just catching up with last night's pings. Somebody has messed with our climate and we've had daily rain for about three weeks. Like you, I'm not used to this. It was a novelty at first, but has worn out its welcome. I'll send it to you, okay?
To: McLynnan; ladyinred
Yes, it's raining here. Rain. Rain. That word sounds vaguely familiar......
To: GOP-Pat
Thanks for your post about Laura. Congratulations on meeting her! When you get that picture, please ping me when you post it. I would love to see it.
To: NordP
Thanks for sharing about your dad. Those memories are a treasure. I have some similar memories of my dad which sustained me after I lost him.
To: McLynnan
If we do get winter this year it will be the first one here for quite a few years. It did get cold enough one night last year to freeze my bouganvilla(however you spell that).
But we haven't had a cold winter in years. But, I had a cord of wood delivered last week on the off chance that this is the year. Besides, the cats like a fire. LOL

Actually oWf talked about you non-stop. She said you were opinionated, prone to excesses, hyper and "interesting". Is that right? Let's see: Conseervative, patriotic, activist, intellectual. Yeah, that's it. She said you are pretty too, but I can see that for myself. She told about the fun you guys had and I was jealous.

Rain. That word sounds vaguely familiar...... Come visit, you'll think you're in Seattle instead of Texas. Looks like it will be gone around next Wednesday so hurry.
To: SwatTeam
But we haven't had a cold winter in yearsYou're in the Houston area? We haven't had a cold winter since about six years ago, so I guess we're overdue. I can't remember October ever being as cool as it was this year, but our summer was milder than normal too. So much for that global warming theory.
To: McLynnan
Look out the window. Now.
NOW OPEN THE DOOR! IT'S COLD OUT HERE!!!!!
To: McLynnan
We're in San Antonio. We had 13 inches of snow in Jan of 1985 and we've only had a couple of winters since then. No snow, just ice once or twice. Don't like that either. But it never lasts long. You're farther north so you have a better chance of having colder weather. But, let's face it, when it come to weather, Texas is really weird and unique.
To: Brad's Gramma
LOL, cute. It's cold here too -- weird! And all this chill and damp has given me a cold so I am off to bed to wallow in my misery with a book. You keep warm!
