We're in San Antonio. We had 13 inches of snow in Jan of 1985 and we've only had a couple of winters since then. No snow, just ice once or twice. Don't like that either. But it never lasts long. You're farther north so you have a better chance of having colder weather. But, let's face it, when it come to weather, Texas is really weird and unique.

Remember that old saying "if you don't like the weather in Texas, wait a minute and it will change"? I remember once in Waco in the early 80's we got 15 inches of snow in one day which was some kind of world record, lol. We've only been back in Texas six years and have lived in places where it snowed a lot and I kind of miss that occasional pretty white blanket.
