First Lady Laura Bush also traveled the campaign trail by stumping in North Carolina and Georgia. The First Couple will continue traveling this weekend, heading to Florida and Minnesota this weekend. My husband is 45 and still eats Captain Crunch.

That's funny. My husband is 65 and his favorite evening snack is cheerios and peanut butter.

I am glad security is extra extra tight for Laura. I don't think her husband would let her do these campaign trips without it. I think it so telling how important this election is to GW by Laura doing something she doesn't like to do. I wish the Democrats could care half as much for their country as GW does.

Well, at least he leaves the jelly out. And to make it more gross, he usually drinks a glass of wine with it!

Actually, security wasn't tight. I walked thru the door, picked up my name tag, etc., and walked straight to the photo room. Of course, the gal who saw me pick it up, knew me but not one ID was asked for. When we signed up to go, we were told we needed a photo ID to enter but no one asked for it. They DID ask for name, address, SS#, telephone #, birthdate, employer and position when they took our credit card information. I heard some people say they were checked but others weren't. For the most part, most people just walked right in. It bothered me a lot that they were so careless. I thought it was strange that they took our coats and purses, AFTER we had been looking at the First Lady for 5 minutes or more. They just took them just before taking our pics. Darn, had I wanted to, I could have already pulled a gun from my purse, emptied the chamber, reloaded and repeated it several times before they ever took my purse. I think the only reason they took our things was to save time. (i.e. we wouldn't have to take stuff off, lay it down and then pick it up again, taking up too much of her time.) Frankly, I was shocked.

3 hours? LOL! Wait till I tell MG. She thought for sure she had to fly because it's just so far going from one state to another.

Well, I do live in California, the state where if you live in the central part of the state, it's a ten hour drive up to Oregon or an eight hour drive down to the southern border. It's a whole different ball game here. LOL!

Ok, so I am a 5th grade teacher's assistant and didn't know that Ohio bordered West Virginia. Sheesh! Hehehe!

Are you having eternal rain like we are?

Pardon my show of ignorance, but what's rain? (Says a Californian who hasn't seen any in a coon's age) LOL!
