The law speaks to this issue.

Your attitude is so mid 20th century. You need to be re-edcuated into the new legal order. Get with the program.

So Forrester runs ads that accurately depict Laut's real doddering, stumbling performance... loved the question regarding the military and Laut answered about abortion... classic... people won't watch the debate, so you bring the debate to them.

(quoting MN Stat 204B.41)
Official supplemental ballots shall not be mailed to absent voters to whom ballots were mailed before the official supplemental ballots were prepared.

Speaking of ballots not being mailed...I have heard about (I think) county clerks in Hennepin, Ramsey and maybe two other counties possibly sending out either replacement or supplimental ballots to those who have already sent in absentee ballots even before the DFL got their official nomination into the Secy. of State.

Oh, now they're asking that the official supplemental ballot be put on the Web

That's just so they can manufacture more votes, and if they still don't get enough, they'll file another lawsuit, claiming all the [Dem] voters without internet access were disenfranchised.

Th AG says "We do our best. We have to follow the law." Then he sits down. Pretty effective, I'd say.

Some doofus had his cell phone on.

Hatch kept saying they had to follow the law, but it was obvious he didn't like it much. He didn't really defend the law.

Good grief, AG Hatch is not prenting his arguments very well.

Equal protection is the current issue. "We can only do your best, but there is no provision in our laws that address the issue of not being able to get ballots back in time."

204B.41 Vacancy in nomination; changing ballots.

Gee--I don't know--the law seems so unclear on the matter of absentee ballots < /sarcasm >

Thank you, again. It seems clear enough to me, but I'm not a Demonrat lawyer. I pray that the justices see through this scam and don't rewrite MN law.

Good grief, AG Hatch is not prenting his arguments very well.

I heard it the other way...my impression is that he didn't want the Court to mess with the statute, and that the law is what the law says. I've been wrong before, tho. :-)

Thank you for the statute. What is the statute governing what is an official nominee? Can a party nominate an alternative without a public vote?

Well it will be interesting to see how their Supremes rule.... All laws can be contested and that's what they are doing. I hope the Court doesn't become an activitist Court and follows the intent of the Legislature, the peoples representatives.

Even if I am a firm Republican, this is a very difficult issue and we could have been on the other side.

Yes, every vote should be counted. But how the heck do you do it in only 5 days?
