Mondale says: "We're going to tax their ass off" Mondale Quote from DemocRAT Convention:
"Dan Rostenkowski, standing next to the candidate in front of the cameras and the cheering crowd at the convention after the fateful speech, whispered to Mondale, "You've got a lot of balls, pal." According to Rostenkowski, Mondale whispered back, "Look at 'em, we're going to tax their ass off."

This is an example of what the DemocRATs put on the ballot in Minnesota. Accepting the convention nomination and he is looking out at a bunch of suckers.
Please send this to anyone you know that is considering for for any RATS!!!

Tax and Spend not Take and Spend! It's the same thing...they take it and spend it. You can call it "taxes", but I prefer the term "stick-up".

"Let's tell the truth. Mr. Reagan will raise taxes, and so will I. He won't tell you. I just did." --- Walter Mondale in 1984 presidential campaign

And now Mondale is older than Reagan who Mondale thought was too old to serve.

When Mondale decided not to run for the Senate, he told the people of Minnesotta, "We need new people. You can't nominate Walter Mondale for everything." He was right then and he's right now!

Pres. REAGAN (to Mr. Mondale]: You know, I wasn't going to say this at all, but I can't help it: there you go again. I don't have a plan to tax or increase taxes. I'm not going to increase taxes. I can understand why you are, Mr. Mondale, because as a senator you voted 16 times to increase taxes. Now, I believe that our problem has not been that anybody in our country is undertaxed. It's that government is overfed. http://216.239.53.100/search?q=cache:x0oLNJm8He0C:www.pbs.org/newshour/debatingourdestiny/newshour/84_1stprez-analysis.html+mondale+on+taxes&hl=en&ie=UTF-8

Wonderful moment. I voted for Reagan in 1980 after having voted for Carter in 1976.
It might have been at this moment when I knew that I had come over from the dark side for good.

Someone said "If this is the best the Rats have, it's a sorry day. Don't they have any younger leaders? They have to choose this old bird? My Gawd! What a disgrace.
I didn't like him then and I SURE don't like him now!

"Let's tell the truth. Mr. Reagan will raise taxes, and so will I. He won't tell you. I just did." --- Walter Mondale in 1984 presidential campaign And Reagan did just that in 1986. It was the largest tax increase in the history of the country until BJ Clinton surpassed it.
To: Dog Gone
I think if you crunched the niumers you'd see more than half of the Carter 76 votes went to Reagan in 80.
