"He is taking the focus away from his claim of concern about Iraq by traveling around the country, making it seem like everything's okay....so people are going to be thinking," Honestly, I usually think that what you bring to the conversation has some substance. But this segment above does not. It makes really makes no political sense, especiallly in the local elections that are being run in 2002.

That dick morris... what a card... always putting a foot in his mouth....
To: rintense
Perhaps, but many, as seen on this thread, find the word vulgar. rintense, you are far too young, to be this old. Relax! :)

Makes me wonder about the women you know.Southern Belles.
I don't think it's cute, although it is less offensive used this way than other ways. I think it's demeaning.
Look....you've got to call it something and I believe it (the P-word) sounds much sweeter and more gentile than the anatomically correct, but somehow irritatingly vulgar sounding V-word.
As I said earlier though, it may be a regional thing.

Where does a guy named "DICK," get off on calling his testicularly "NOT challenged" superior (the President)... a pussy?
This guy at times is a walking vulgarity.
I find it very easy to call him DICK.
He is just jealous that he needs to grow a pair.

I was obviously paraphrasing Dick. And I agreed with his assessment of the situation.
A lot of people (a/k/a uninformed who watch liberal alphabet channels) will see Bush traveling around the country and hear what Brokaw, Jennings, Daschole & Co are saying, at every possible opportunity while the media shows clips of Bush in Florida, W.V., Colorado, etc. They won't see him as a president concerned with Iraq; they will see him as a politician campaigning for the Repubs.
To: rintense
Yes, he said Bush was acting like a pussy, which I assume he means Bush was acting like a friendly, domestic kitty cat:<) No big deal to me.

Just FYI....I am no prude. I can swear with the best of them. I just think there is a time and a place. Early prime time is no longer decent for most kids to watch. Why should we tolerate the news people using language like this? Doesn't it further degrade and coarsen the culture? We continue to push that line further and further so that we are no longer shocked. That is not a good thing, imo.

This is a good website for poll tracking: www.pollingreport.com Thanks a million for this site referral... It provides the important details like, what was the question, anyway? When, where, how many, etc.

He also said the same thing happened with Clinton, and he gave him the same warning; Clinton's poll numbers were dropping because he went campaigning around the country and he was perceived as being a politician rather than as presidential.
Granted, there's absolutely no comparison between Clinton or Bush; and I could never stand to hear Clinton talk anyways. But we're not talking about us, we're not even talking about Republicans. The shift in poll numbers, up or down, really reflects the undecideds, the Rats, the independents, and the idiots.
To: rintense
Wasn't Dick Morris the pussy cat, who played a finicky tom cat in cat food commercials?
To: rintense
Oh, rolling my eyes, Dickie forgot his medication again. He'll be better tomorrow.

"They won't see him as a president concerned with Iraq; they will see him as a politician campaigning for the Repubs." OK, so be it. As I said on another thread, (or was it this thread?) you follow along with Dick Morris at your own peril. I don't believe what you or your 'paraphrased Morris' said is true, but we shall see. I DO know one thing, this line that the President shouldn't be campaigning is a longtime DemoRAT spin line, that Terry McAwful set out over a year ago. That is surfaces full throttle a week before the election......is not all that surprising.......
And I find it particularly hilarious that it is resurfacing when the Dims are short of votes and cash! How very convenient!
