I didn't even realize that was a Fox News article until you pointed it out. That's a disappointment. I guess it's balanced from the standpoint that one writer might note that and another one might not.
I posted on another thread about how political correctness has damaged our professional schools. Students who are clearly not suitable for a given profession are too often allowed to invest significant time and money toward a goal that they will never achieve. Ideally, students like this would never gain admission to professional school, or would be weeded out very early. Instead, they are allowed to languish while faculty members turn a blind eye, lest they be labeled "insensitive" or worse.
I'm not in any way excusing his behavior, you understand......just pointing out that this "you can be anything you want to be" crap needs to stop.
Nah ... I'm just old.
They've maintained a shortage for many years. More bargaining power that way.
Yes, if only we had done this already... this wacko could've killed his victims with a butcher knife instead.
Well........ummmmmmm.........I'd be willing to bet so.
Wish it were so. You might be astonished at the number of dangerous incompetents nursing schools turn loose on the community.
While these particular profs may well have been wonderful,Ive witnessed the ordeals that my wife has endured for the last 3 years, and there have been numerous classses/profs that I wouldnt shed a tear for if this were to befall them.
I dont suggest assassinating them, but they live in their own little fantasy world of agendas and indoctrination which could make someone that's wound overly tight bust a seam.
For a quick example, try busting your ass to pass a class, your GPA is borderline so you give all the extra time and effort to score 90-105 on all assignments and exams, only to wait 2 weeks to get the grades in the mail and see a 'B-' ??? May that guy rot in hell !!! as well as this murderer that killed these profs...
You've got to be kidding! Obviously you aren't in health care or are married to a nurse etc because if you had personal knowledge of this profession you wouldn't say that!
They couldn't pay me enough to stay....and they tried. Nurses don't make enough for all they have to do - and most would never stay for the money - it's a profession that requires much more of you than $$$ signs in your eyes!
The job is incredibly stressful, tremendous responsibility and SHORT STAFFED all the time!!!
You can make more money elsewhere, in business etc - and you don't have to worry that you'll make a mistake and actually harm or kill someone!
It's a very demanding job - you'd learn alot following a RN around for one shift, even 1 hour - and I bet you'd change your mind - honestly!
No, stupid (not you BraveMan), three were murdered and the murderer then committed suicide. There was a killer of three, who then thankfully whacked himself, so he couldn't be felt sorry for by the court system. What, Fox, four killed by a gun? Did the gun get up out of its lawn chair one day and decide to kill people? Stupids. Is anyone else getting as sick of this reporting as I am? Fox News can stuff it if they really reported this as advertised. They can take the high ground any time they want it, and this is their headline? IDIOTS. Fox News = IDIOTS. Wake up, Fox News, try separating yourself from the rest of the usual drivel. Stupids.
As an older RN I can remember an extensive interview peocess being done, the standard procedure, before gaining entrance to nursing school. This helped to eliminate those that had personality difficulties/authority issues. Not any more, they take any one to the detriment of us all. The PC way strikes again.
The Tarheel
So true..but for right now they are the only ones taking up the cudgel in defense of the second ammendment.
For whatever reason, they have lost some of their original purpose. A friend of mine with the DNR police dropped his membership because they no longer supported the local services they once did e.g. firearms training, and seemed more interested in preserving the right to WMDs.
Anyway, I'm still a member but I still agree that they gotten extreme in their views.
This is what worries me the most about this story. If true, prepare for a big media PR push against CCW permits. Never mind that this would be the first criminal shooting by a CCW holder, a pretty good record compared with the number of bent cops.
Been there, done that, got the t-shirt, Sunny. The ones who burn out never should have been in it in the first place. We'll just have to agree to disagree, as they say.
