The corner of College Ave. and Mulberry in Fort Collins, Colorado was once again the focal point of the Support Our Troops rally and honk-a-thon. How the public likes to blow their horns!! How pitifull and sad the peace-nik crowd looks on their lonely corner. We once again pulled off our weekly FReep with style and enthusiasm. For pictures and report.......

We outnumbered and outclassed the usefull idiots,(sorry to sound like a broken record)AGAIN!! It sure is easy to put on a good show when the public is on our side.

FReepers in attendance today were: RMrattlesnake and family and Trteamer. VFW attendance today was excellent. Special thanks to Joe, Jim, Harry, Terry, Terry, Paul, Ron, and every one else who stopped by to do some flag waving. We also had some VFW members who drove by honking like crazy several times.

Love seeing the little "fur persons" out there supporting our troops! I hope they don't really bite the ankles of the socialists, they might catch something! :-) I always love your pictures, such a beautiful street in a beautiful state with beautiful patriots! What can I say, you guys are awesome!

The little dogs (there are a pair of them) don't really bite, they probably would lick you to death. They are part of the RMrattlesnake family. We don't want them licking leftists anyway because they might catch something.


Interesting thing happened yesterday. We had a useful idiot mom come across the street to our corner with her young daughter carrying their anti-war signs. She proceded to stand in front of us. It took a couple of seconds before Old Glory was proudly waving and covering up her signs. She complained to the vets that they couldn't do that, free speech and all. Well, that didn't fly too well with the vet's. We all believe in free speech, but this is OUR corner and the police have told us in the past to stay on our respective corners.
She stayed for 2 light changes while talking with the vets. I refused to talk to her or even acknowledge her very existance. Then the strangest thing happened, she actually thanked us for supporting the troops. Go figure.

At one point we had a man in his truck stopped at the light. He rolled down all the windows in his Jeep Cherokee, opened the sunroof, yelled that he was an Air Force Academy Graduate and proceded to crank up his stereo playing Air Force fight songs. He was saluting all of us, laying on his horn, and grinning! Cool!!

Another time I thought that someone's truck horn was stuck because it had been going non-stop since the light changed. Nope, it was just pure enthusiasm coming from a Troop Supporter.

We have a corner with very long traffic light signals, and at times the traffic is so heavy we approach grid-lock. Makes for very good FReeping as we have a captive audience one way or the other.
Yesterday when we were really getting going I had a man on a bicycle talking to me while waiting to cross the light. He was a Viet Nam Veteran from Arkansas and was in town visiting his son in college. He was so happy to see us doing what we were doing!! He thanked me a half a dozen times, and I thanked him back for his service. We really made his day!
