The last cryptic message from Montgomery County Police Chief Charles Moose to the Washington-area sniper referred to a Cherokee Indian story about an arrogant rabbit that was duped by the duck he tried to catch.

"You have indicated that you want us to do and say certain things. You've asked us to say, 'We have caught the sniper like a duck in a noose.' We understand that hearing us say this is important to you," Moose said late Wednesday at a televised news briefing, called so authorities could release information on two people sought for questioning in the 13 sniper shootings.

there is no reason for the message to be released at this time exactly because there is the distinct possibility of the connections with organized evil to exist.

surely the feds knew as much as this journalist pulled together overnight... the WA / AL connection is enough to make me wonder. hmmmm.

I've seen it in some publications like al Jazeera where it was spelled 'in', and they pronounced it more like bin Ladeen, also..those arabs that is.

I think My Favorite Headache broke the initial interpretation on this yesterday. Soon as I read it, I emailed Fox News with the link to the thread. Not sure if they used the link to prepare their story, but I think they did. I emailed them immediately after hearing three interviewees on Fox say they didn't have any idea what the story meant. the whole business of trying to spell arabic words and names "correctly" is such a silly game, and it is amusing to watch the PC morons in the media bicker and dicker endlessly between Koran and Qu'ran and Kadaffi and Quadafi and... you get the point. Arabic words and names are correctly spelled by means of indescipherable squiggly lines. What WE use are phonetic translations into English using the modernised Roman alphabet. The "most correct" spelling is that which most closely approximates the sound of the word while obeying the rules of use of the Roman alphabet (eg: a non-terminal "Q" is always yo be followed by "U" etc...)

That was my thought as well. It is possible that Mohammed and accomplice switched cars with the real shooters, and switched back immediately after each shootings, the rifle remaining in the car all the time. Far fetched, but makes the metaphor make more sense. Even looks like Mohammed deliberately set himself up for a quick capture, almost like McVeigh.

Time will tell, but if the metaphor is going to play out, Mohammed and accomplice will skate on the actual murders, though no doubt be nailed as accomplices.

I think that was his cry for help to get out of the hole he had gotten himself in.

He went from invincible super sniper to a wet and starving rabbit eating his own fur for survival in a few days after he shot the poor guy coming out of the Ponderosa.

The game got out of the PC ers control, and he knew that he was in real trouble once the game's specifics got to the American public.

My question is to whom was he crying for help. It wasn't the police. If he wanted help from them, he would have told them where to find him.

You have to wonder with militant people who hate whitey like Farakahn out there , what's next.

I've read before that there are governments funding the Islamic znd Muslem groups in America's prisons , specifically Saddam's.

If this was a group act , I have to believe it would be happening in major cities across our nation at the same time.

What I have read says there is a plan to knock down America's electric grid and spread viruses/plagues. It's supposed to happen simultainiously to cause the most chaos.

I tend to believe if it's true it will happen in the coldest part of winter. Communication will be gone , food will be gone in one day , and people will panic in the cold.

I think this 'duck in a noose' thing is a message to other trouble-makers and is intended to portray law enforcement as the rabbit who foolishly thinks he can catch the duck (the shooter).

As I watched the live coverage of the stump removal and transport, I couldn't help but think of the stump in the fable.

I also think they were ready to be caught - not because they were so tired of running - but because they had completed their 'mission'.

I hope this is over, but I think it is just the opening act of bigger terrorist plans for our people. I hope I am wrong.

Which leads me to conclude that John Muhammad is a crackpot who acted alone. There's no way Al Qaeda would've devised such stupid code words... lol. Perhaps J.M. fancied himself as part of the Islamic terrorist movement. Maybe he wanted to send a message that the sniper shootings were for them. Or... maybe I'm just thinking about this story WAY too much.

And in so doing, as an adherent to Islam ... that is what he bacame. Whether he was under the direct control of one of the "groups" or not. Those groups have issued Jihad against America and then shown it could be accomplished (911) ... Islamics of like mind will take up the call.

I pray there are not more like him ... having them "pop" up like this from a population of several million ... even if there are only a few hundred out of that population who respond ... will be almost impossible to predict and prevent beforehand.

I hope and pray that there are not hundreds, much less thousands. But Farakhan preaches a very radical version of ISlam to black Muslim men and there are hundreds of thousands who follow him. I pray no appreciable percentage of them take up the call.

I watched a short portion of FOX news last night with Bill O'Reilly. He had a member of the Farakhan Nation of Islam on. The guy was just totally arrogant. I could not beleive his behavior on national TV. With peole going around with attitudes like this we would be fools not to hike our own level of awareness/alertness up a couple of notches.

The question I have is exactly how many dead bodies will it take before the American people start cracking down hard on even "innocent muslims." There will come a point where enough people will be fed up with their loved ones being at risk that things will happen. My estimation over the summer was at least 500,000 dead but I could be high.

As to followers of Louis Farakan IMHO they are all engaged in a criminal conspiracy to overthrow the US Constitution and should be treated appropriately for making war on the USA.

Because one could also make a similar case against the Democrat Party does not mean that we should not punish those who engage in such behavior.

If they'd vetted it, and decided based on all their information, that it didn't carry any dangerous code message, better to pacify the nut and lull him into imagining he had control of the situation, by broadcasting his silly request.

Since the only possible way to know if such a message was code would be to know what every potential recipient would infer from the message it is impossible to vette such a message.
