I had a cup of coffee this AM with LDD. Our levels of awareness are up. Not to the point of singing soprano, but on the way.

I have had more and more folks I work with come in and visit about matters of personal security. Maybe, just maybe, a few eyes have been opened.

Rememer, I said "based on all their information". I think by the time they released that statement, they were already pretty close to positive who the sniper was, and knew that he was not an al-Qaeda operative (even though he may have imagined himself to be one).

Sadly, I believe you are right.

I believe if we simply instituted a program where citizens were armed and assisting their local LEO's, we would prevent a lot of it.

But I am afraid it will take a lot more before the people get to the point here they get involved and takes responsibility for their own defense in such a manner.

It's really a shame, particularly in light of hat has already happened.
