I'm not defending the talking heads, but most of them do try to report the news objectively and avoid excessive speculation.

That being said, unless this guy is making some distinctly religious comments to authorities or until more evidence comes in, it isn't relevant at this moment. That is a direct answer to "icuwhatudo" as to why the suspect's religion is not being reported. That may change as more pieces fall into place first.

This was the same station that shot video of that minivan a couple of days ago w/ the 2 illegal aliens in it. The camera made sure to focus in on the "Bush/Cheney" sticker and the newsweasel made sure to mention that as well.

That's a fair bet. I don't disagree with you. But you are right only because there are those elements in the media world that would relish doing it and would be quick to post the headlines.

The same cannot be said of the media when there is a Muslim involved. Only because those same elements are reticent to report the link and those that would like to do so, but don't, are more objective and hold off until all the facts are in.

Again, that's the answer to the question posed by "icwhatudo"
