The "experts" who said the sniper was a right-wing white guy and the anthrax (vanity)

While not all evidence is in, it looks like the sniper was a Muslim. Huge surprise to some.
All the newsmedia talking heads and the "expert" profilers, have been saying the sniper was a white domestic right-wing domestic. Even as more evidence mounted that this could possibly be terrorism, the networks did all they could to steer clear of it.
Freepers have been saying this was Islamic terrorism since day one. I guess that makes the Freepers smarter than the people whose job it is to profile. But we're really not smarter we just have common sense, and we're not afraid to be un-PC. We are at war with Islam, and anybody who tries to pretend that we're not is a fool.
One of the anthrax mailings said something along the lines of "death to america, death to israel, allah is great". This led the experts to believe that this is a domestic right wing terrorist. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that just like in the sniper case, the "experts" are wrong. We're at war with Islam here people, wake up.

I can't think of his name offhand but that assistant FBI director was on with Tony Snow Sunday and stated quite strongly that this was a "hate" crime commited by a white racist.
Tony Snow looked incredulous and asked him how he could come to that conclusion.

Not Islamic terrorism....not a practicing Muslim....just a couple of angry black criminals.

This AM, FOX is reporting that there are "no known ties to Al Queda". I've expected the media to lie about/downplay the terrorist connection, so why is my blood boiling right now?

You're angry because it doesn't fit your preconceived notions, that's all. After all, Al-Queda terrorists always knock over (rob) liquor stores!

Hey, the DOT said the same thing about Richard Reid, and we all know how right they were about that...

Sure. And those guys who flew the planes into the WTC were just frustrated engineering students.

White right-wing guy. Black muslim. What's the difference really?
To: rosebud
Actually they identified him as a former assistant FBI director. I will think of his name eventually.

I don't see that this particular instance is a case of "war with Islam." This appears to me to be a case of an evil, stupid man who is also an opportunist. "I'll change my name to something Muslim, rob, kill, and maim, and excuse it all in the name of Allah if I have to."
To: anniegetyourgun
For people into drug dealing, knocking off a liquor store and committing murder and assault shouldn't come as a stretch.

No, not just angry criminals. One was a 15 year Army vet. Would could make you hang up 15 years and walk away?

No, they were real muslims from Saudi Arabia.
To: Michael2001
We're starting to see evidence of a connection between the Islamists and the militias. At a minimum, the Islamists are training at facilities created for the militias.
To: anniegetyourgun
They could be just your average everyday run-of-the-mill sociopaths, but right now I don't think there's enough evidence to rule a terror tie in or out. We'll just have to wait and hope the authorities do a thorough job in checking.

Um...when did Jamaica become part of Saudi Arabia?

One was a 15 year Army vet. So much for the "only the police and military are qualified to have guns" stuff.
