I sense sarcasm but if you'll recall, the hijackers were whooping it up at a bar leading up to September 11th. Also, "out of character" according to any profiles.
1) He apparently had anti-U.S. sentiments for a LONG time, even while in the Army;
Maj. Bevacqua on FOX pointed out that the Army has been increasingly concerned about "sleepers" who are joining specifically to get sniper and military training. He did not say Muslims---quite the contrary, he said the cases he knew about were LA gang members, but the implication was laid out;
3) Muhammad has apparently SOME links to this camp, which Scotland Yard tied to Al-Quaeda;
4) all the arrest warrants have not been served yet, indicating there are plenty of people with information; and
5) the phrase "duck in a noose" sure sounds to me like a terrorist activation phrase. Now,
you are arguing that just because he was dumb enough (if that's what it was) to knock of a 7/11, doesn't make him a terrorist. Er, do you recall that
1) Richard Riady looked the way he did, and still tried to set his shoes on fire? (That qualifies as dumber).
2) That some of the 9/11 terrorists almost missed their connecting flights?
3) That dozens of "suicide bombers" have mistakenly blown themselves up before even gettin in the same county as their targets?
My point is, I think you are ascribing way too much sophistication to ALL Al-Quaeda-related activities. Yes, 9/11 was brilliantly planned, for the most part. But this was their home run. 90% of the time they strike out, and I suspect that 9/11 was their "best and brightest," not to mention most hateful, kooky nuts, as well. So, no, the involvement in the 7/11 robbery does NOT exculpate him as being a terrorist, or an Al-Quaeda-related operative.
What else do these particular terrorists "never do?" Hmmmmmmmm?
I worked with Black Muslim as clients..and many were VERY observant ....drinkers and druggers and crooks...there is a major spiritual disconnect..
I remember some Al Queda terrorists, last September, visiting strip clubs.
