Yeh, no composite...for reasons.
Same with the license. At least a partial license number was known days ago, but wasn't released...for reasons.
Then, last nite, 2 hours AFTER the license was finally released, the suspects were apprehended.
Makes you wonder: Had they released the sketch/composite and license DAYS ago, these perps might have been apprehended a lot sooner.

I agree. If police HAD released composites and even the partial license plate, some victims might be alive today. Totally reprehensible. I can see the license plate - they could switch cars (although these two don't seem that smart) but not releasing the composite is inexcusable.

Had they released the sketch/composite and license DAYS ago, these perps might have been apprehended a lot sooner. They and their car were actually stopped on Oct. 8th at a road block, but blacks had been specifically ruled out as possible snipers, so they were not searched very thoroughly. If at all.

as to the "composite"; -- remember, most of the early "witnesses" were pointing to "olive-skinned" peole, which these folks are surely not;
My impression is that they did not get them from a description. They tracked down the name and identity, then got pix (probably from Army, LE, maybe Malvo's school) and released them
releasing an "olive-skinned" compostite early on would have thrown everyone off.
