Overnite, two men arrested while sleeping in their car at a reststop in MD. John Mohammed aka John Williams and his stepson Lee Malvo. Mohammad is thought to be the likely shooter.

I've been off-line for a bit, but last I heard they were looking for the co-owner of the car. They probably have a ton of people to interview, track their movements for the past ____ months if not years, find out if they've committed other crimes (and I figure there's a bunch), and if so, were those crimes committed with others, who were their associates, did the associates know anything, and if so, what? And that's just off the top of my head.

Even though they've caught the guys, there really is a whole lot more work to do.

Yes - Politically Speaking... you know those Dems in MD at the local and state level were sweating bullets (no pun intended) hoping this would be favorably resolved by election day. Even in tragic circumstances - politics must go on.

There was a gun in the car and it has been forensically linked to these guys.

It would have been a possible scenario that they could have been nabbed without the gun in their possession (hidden, that kind of thing), also I'm sure he was referring to the gun AND the perps being off the street.

Just got online. Please forgive me if this has already been asked and answered on the thread:

When the Baltimore cop questioned Muhammed re: his being a suspicious person sleeping in his car, did the cop know that a vehicle close to that description had been seen in the shooting the previous week? I heard that the officer got Muhammed's name, the vehicle license number etc. Was this info turned over to the task force? If you have a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle seen at a shooting, why wasn't the plate/vin run and Muhammed checked out (and seen as a possible lead/suspect) because of his history. At the very least, shouldn't that vehicle description been put out more than it was (even if they were pre-occupied with the white vans/trucks?)

ABC news stated that Mohammed was dishonorably discharged for throwing a grenade into a tent with U.S. soldiers. They did not state where or when.
