That kind of thing is in all of the better spy novels. Unfortunately, if the people in charge are well-adjusted to the target culture, then there will be virtually nothing out of the ordinary.

Our saving hope here is that since the Al Qaeda terrorists are Islamic fanatics and not familiar with U.S. culture, their "signs" will be... a little off, to someone who has grown up here.

Okay- We know the FBI did interviews in a school in Bellingham (North of Seattle)concerning Malvo. I guess we can assume Malvo lived there at one time with his Mother. I think I read he was last in school there about 9 months ago. So he left home and was living on the street in Seattle where he met Muhammed.

Malvo is an illegal alien, so that means his mother is too. This is probably why we have not heard from her or about her. She is probably living somewhere in Washington in either Bellingham or Seattle. There may be more of his family with her, as well.
Does this sound reasonable?

FWIW...I've asked the local police if they've ever heard of anything with teabags as signals for drugs/gangs, etc. NOPE, he says...and he's never heard the detectives talk about it...BUT...he's jotting it down with the info about the two black males in the white vehicle with Alabama tags.

I was born in Baltimore but have not been there for many years and I don't miss anything about the place. Twice now in the past week I noticed that the Baltimore Police Dept. made National headlines - both times for being inept.

I was just googling around to see if there was some sort of significance between tea bags and muslims -- came across one site with a muslim quote that was somewhat interesting. It said: "People are like tea bags-you have to put them in hot water before you know how strong they are."
