I'm totally freaked out about the Washington State connection because my older daughter lived in Bellingham (a beautiful city, BTW) for five years. OTOH, my younger daughter and her family live in Alexandria, VA, and are in the middle of the sniper shootings.

I can't sleep, I can't eat (well, yeah, I can eat) - this is consuming me. And here I am, helpless and sleepless on the Central Coast of California...

I sure hope they have the right guy under surveillance (sp?) right now. Otherwise, Mr. Sniper may be roaming the streets of the DC metroplex with a couple of full magazines and a real negative attitude about them digging up his old stumping grounds.

What makes you think this guy is necessarily a sniper?

If he was professional hired gun, he'd be long gone. He's either a whackjob or he's an ideologue. I can't wrap my arms around these stupid demands for money. It doesn't compute, he's smart enough to stay on the loose but stupid enough to think he can get 10 mil and pass go.

l.a. stations are reporting o.j. is driving; montgomery county cops are now searching uhauls based on broadcast report that such a truck is somehow involved. i-95 backed up to the tunnel in baltimore.
