Democratic Party Wins "Weaseliest Organization" in Dilbert Poll

Rep. Gary A. Condit, D-Calif., not only lost his March 5 primary election, now he's finished second to decorating diva Martha Stewart -- but neither one of them is likely to trumpet this award. Scott Adams, creator of the popular comic strip "Dilbert," asked readers of the dilbert.com Web site to vote for "weaseliest" people and organizations of 2002. About 116,000 people voted, the Associated Press reported, with top "honors" going to Stewart, Condit -- who sidestepped questions about an alleged relationship with federal intern Chandra Levy -- and a French ice skating judge for her role in the voting irregularities at the 2002 Winter Olympics. In other political circles, the Democratic Party finished ahead of Major League Baseball as the weaseliest organization. Microsoft Corp. was named No. 1 weasel in the company category and in the race among nations, France was the surprise winner, besting Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Pakistan.

I'm not entirely sure why France beat out Iran, North Korea, Iraq,
