Let's keep a live commentary thread going again today. The FBI Tip Line #1-888-324-9800.
All seems quiet since yesterday's news the shooter may target children specifically. It was released on various news outlets the shooter's 3-page letter to police was in broken English and threatened extreme violence. Police announced an electronic transfer of $10m as requested by the shooter was not possible but other options for transfer remain open. No one seriously believes police will actually give the shooter $$, but police are trying to keep a dialogue open with the shooter in an effort to capture this monster.

About the fourth time I have heard that....
Shell casings don't usually imbed themselves in tree trunks.
Is this sloppy terminology? Do they mean bullets? - Or shell casings buried under a tree or in the ground?

They're usually blabbing, telling all kinds of things they shouldn't. Maybe this time, for the moment at least they are trying to do the right thing. (I hate that. LOL) After all many of them live in the killer's favorite killing ground.

No. Since a .223 is a supersonic bullet it cannot be silenced. Muffled slightly perhaps, but only on the muzzleblast. The bullet itself will crack with it's own sonic boom.

I'll bet the whole nation is kinda' like a huge wrestling arena at this time. On the edge of their seats at polarized places in the stadium seating.
And libs/commies who always talk in hushed voices at the office water cooler about 'him' in the singular, are hoping to death that it is 'some one lone gun nut white NRA member', in order to collect up all the guns.
And probably patriot conservatives, although still nervous and pissed and vigilant down at another cooler talking about 'them', would breathe somewhat half a sigh if it were several towelheaded swarthy middle eastern males named Abdullah and Amir and Akeem w/ AQ connections which might well set the stage for massive citizen armament and vigilint civil support of American LEOs to track more of the buzzards down.....
Despite the differences (and with exceptions of course), we sure are all Americans tonight and want this whole thing cleared up!
