An angry letter found tacked to a tree behind a restaurant where the sniper wounded a man this weekend complained of six failed attempts to reach police, and threatened more killings, of children in particular, if millions of dollars were not deposited in a bank account within two days, law enforcement sources said.
The letter listed half a dozen calls that had been "ignored" by operators answering phones at the command center in Rockville, Md., the Montgomery County police station and the FBI. It even named some of the people who had answered the phones.
We need John McClane
or someone else who has dealt with this..
Do you actually believe government law enforcement has the ability and/or responsibility to DIRECTLY PROTECT the public? Try suing them sometime for their failure to do so. No matter how egregious the failure, see what happens.
Cordially,
Let's challenge him.
Chief Moose, "We have this poor bastard shooting innocent people. I bet he doesn't have the guts to shoot at that person standing over there holding that CNN microphone.
Better challenge:
Chief Moose "This guy is a complete coward, he will go after innocent civilians, but he doesn't DARE start aiming at politicians like a Senator."
It is possible to simulate a foreigner's bad grammer. But for three neatly handwritten pages? That's a lot of work. I have OK comprehension in a couple foreign langauges, and can get by verbally, but without a dictionary and a grammar refernce, it would hours for me to compose a letter that long. Too many contradictions. It makes me think the bad grammar and spelling are genuine.
It isn't AQ, it's all of radical Islam, including every Wahabbi mosque, we have to get rid of.
Actually Howlin, most of these threads you seem to have a problem with are not questioning the fact or complaining about the crimes not being solved, as much as how Moose is perceived by the public and the assurance he projects to the citizens in that area. Again, you seem to want to support someone that totally lacks perceived leadership and professionalism, and that appears to be over their head, out of their league, that struggles on a daily basis.
He is certainly not someone that I would personally want in a leadership role in my area.
"May I make a suggestion?"
And, again, those are YOU opinions. I'm not willing to castigate somebody who's doing a job I wouldn't want for a million dollars, mainly because there's a chance he has to listen to all the carping about the REALLY important stuff, like how he talks, for goodness sake.
You can criticize him if you want, but until you walk in his very shoes, it's just your opinion. And I'm entitled to mine. I just don't see how the constant carping and mocking helps. If you get off on that, fine. I say let the man do the job that other people think he's handling just fine.
I suppose these are the standards you hope to be judged by at your performance reviews. The LEAs on the case have collectively killed more kids at Waco than the sniper has or probably ever could.
Here's my message to the killer: " Before I would give you a dime, I would shoot myself."
Ummmm, actually I haven't seen *all* those reports. Where are your reading this?
If authority figures in Maryland and the government don't have a problem with him, who are we to say he should be removed?
Actually in law enforcement circles on the west coast, they are privately cringing every time the man goes on national television. They are very embarrassed by this man. This is a fact. Even Ray Charles can see he is not in his league. He may be a good police officer, but he should stay the hell away from national news conferences.
You can criticize him if you want, but until you walk in his very shoes, it's just your opinion. And I'm entitled to mine. I just don't see how the constant carping and mocking helps. If you get off on that, fine. I say let the man do the job that other people think he's handling just fine.
If the murders continue, you may as well get used to the carping and mocking, as Moose will certainly be the focus of greater negativity by many. And it will be justified in my opinion.
He is certainly not someone that I would personally want in a leadership role in my area
Law enforcement official should not allow criminals and murderers to dictate the terms. Not in public anyway. It's happened before, and almost always ends in disaster, leaving a whole lot of careers in flames.....
